Prolonged Absence & Partial Hiatus

So I'm getting a new laptop, because the old one can't be fixed (meaning that if you emailed me a candidate for any clutch -before- I announced my crash about a month ago, I -really- no longer have it). Bad news is that I won't have it in time for my family trip this holiday, so I'll pretty much be MIA from Wednesday evening until Sunday.

That said, along the same front, I've been frustrated with myself lately. I haven't finished all the stuff I've wanted to for the Nexus. It's just delay after delay.

So, here's my plan. Holding off on pretty much everything around the Nexus, and not giving myself any MORE to do until I'm caught up.

What this means:
1) DF will meet her remaining posting deadlines.
2) DF will not take on any new projects until her current ones are finished.

Projects which DF must still complete, in no particular order:
Goywuy's Clutch (Hatching)
Kailaveth's Clutch (No Deadline Yet, Needs Candidates)
Kalhati's Clutch (Same As Above, Story Required)
Uh Oh! RP & Babies (Template Needs Scanned +)
Shades Of Blue Gen 3 (If I Still Have The Template - If Not, Remainder Cancelled)
Go Through All Records Lists & Abandon Unplaced Dragons

-hugglepet- Oh, I KNOW the feeling. ;-; not with so many delays, but certianly that overwhelming taking-too-much-on-at-once thing. :3 taketime if you need it, and if there's any way that I can help (even if it's only clicking links for you according to a list or something), I'd be willing to. :3

Good luck on the laptop thing. >.> computers can be such finicky bastards sometimes.

Well, I'm actually happy about the laptop result.....sort of. It wasn't ancient, but for a laptop it was fairly old - almost three years. And the problem was that I dropped it, and it got damaged internally.

Well, my warranty guarantees me under accidental damage too, so I sent it back - and after 14 business days whatever part they still needed still hadn't come, and they had no ETA on it either....so they offered me a new one equal to or greater than the one that broke. Since they don't make that laptop type anymore, I get a better one for free. XD

More annoyed that I forgot to back up my email but I'll survive.

As an update, on Wednesday before I left, my monitor blew. I still have my ancient laptop for message checking but my replacement is due hopefully this week or something.

Will keep everyone posted as I can.

Ew, monitors going out are nasty - I tried to use one that'd gone all blue on me for weeks but eventually it was impossible to see. :/ Fortunately nice LCD monitors are getting pretty inexpensive and they're so much nicer on the eyes and desk.

Got my new monitor and my new laptop, huzzah. Gotta reinstall everything on my laptop next. Unfortunately, my desktop has been making some funny noises now so that's just next in a long line of random crap happening. @_@
