Wyld Whirls - v2.0?

So ... yeah. Poll time. Comments go after this here, but ... yeah. c.c; Just sampling the waters a bit before I get all crazy.

Basically: I don't mind organizing the Whirls. Updating the site with participants, doing the writing, etc.

I don't have time for the arting.

I'd need people who'd be willing to do drawings and colour them ... I'd just name 'em and give 'em out, basically, with full credits given.

I will still do the true Wylds and any of the partial ones (whose names I can't remember, but I think I have it written down somewhere)

Does this sound okay? Just ... restarting the Whirls, releasing the current participants (both in the Hunts and the Whirls) and then re-opening with the next big Whirl? I'll keep the organization I have now (with the different Whirl types) ... but, otherwise, I'll purge the lists and start fresh. It will be run slightly differently -- there will be date deadlines, to save my sanity.

Good? Bad? Crazy?

Poll will run for 90 days -- if/when Whirls restart, it will be after I've purged the old website.

Whee~ I like the idea, but know next to nothing about the wylds, so I'll sit on my paws. ^^ Good luck, and I know i'd love to see them restarted. ^^

Why would you release and restart the Whirls, though? You had some awesome participants from last time--maybe go through (or have one of us go through) the links to make sure that they're all still working?

I'd like to see new additions be allowed, but keeping the previous participants. XD *doesn't want to have to re-search and re-send all of the guys she did, last time!*

Hrm. I'd wipe all my participants out (which is a *LOT*), but I can keep the ones that are listed. Ones that were submitted but I never updated would be welcome to re-submit.

So ... 'kay, I'll keep the participants, but the Hunters will definitely get wiped, since I know a lot of folks have either forgotten or moved their characters on.

Hold off on sending any now. I'll update the site next weekend to remove all my non-participating types (I'll keep the Hathians though ... thanks Mystic! XD) ... and I'll have a special email addy set up so I don't lose things like I usually do. e.e

I won't open up for accepting participants until mid-September, but if y'all want to compile lists of participants that you want to send and just post ... um, here? stating an interest, that'll work for now. Don't need to list participants, though. c.c; Just ... let me know you'll be sending some and about how many and maybe which Whirls you're gonna send 'em to, so I can make appropriate pleads for certain types later.

Probably going to take the Ojee down and other breeds like it for now, though; they'd be a bit more time-consuming than necessary for the time being.

I have a lot more that I can send in, as well, and would love to if you don't think that we should limit our numbers!

Will you be doing the pairings ahead of time? I think that'd make more sense, and then we could... well, maybe the owners of certain dragons could claim the pairings that /their/ dragons are in, and then after that's done, everyone could have a chance to claim dibs on which pairings they would like to draw?

Would you like helpers to re-direct artists who would rather just colour, or just draw? I know that lots of people like doing one or the other, but not both.

I'm just throwing out some ideas right now, feel free to take your time with replying. :)

Nah, no limits. ;p Might make things a little crazy, but ... yanno, I hate telling people to stop sending participants when it's usually like pulling teeth to get 'em. So. Yeah, there won't be a limit on how many each person can send to participate.

Pairings will be determined probably ... I dunno, a week or two after I close the Whirls to participants. That's when I'll contact all the volunteers to let 'em know who's paired to what how many times and then y'all can place dibs on breeding pairs. Owners who want to participate will automatically be given first dibs on drawing/colouring/claiming reserves on their kidlets, but if they don't want to, then it'll fall to everyone else.

Hopefully, people will make their preferences be known (i.e. they prefer drawing or colouring or both), so ... that may help that side of things go more smoothly? Basically, whatever they feel up to or want to do, that'd be fine. :P

Otherwise, I will not process them. No limits on risers/chasers from anyone, but do not send in anything like Ojee for the Odd Whirl. Everything else will be accepted.

I will be purging Hunters and Hunt applications will remain closed until the Whirls have run their course. Current Whirlers will not be removed unless they want to be. Otherwise ... game on!

When I get home, I'll bump all this stuff to the updates section with additional details.

Ooh. I have a xeno from the original SR xeno clutch that I never bred. Granted, I have another that was the mama at Star City 00... <333. Must send in Xenos. And other wonderful horror-ific lovelies. @.@
