You can't take the sky from me....
For Firefly and Serenity fans.....

It can't hurt, and I figure I can return anything I buy (as we already have a copy or two of Serenity already). I know at least one other person on here has seen it... *loves the 'look at the pretties' avatar....*

Wow.... um.... yeah.
The Firefly movie Serenity was without doubt one of the most flawless movies I've ever seen. The editing, pacing, dialog and acting in general was delivered with grace and meaning. I had only watched about half an episode before seeing the movie, but I had an idea of what was going on.
Dude. It's a western. *all movies are westerns*. (as are all tv shows). Joss and his sfx teams did a fantastic job of making a cult favorite within one episode. Give em a little credit... The show wasn't about the ships. It was about the people IN the ships.

Never watched the show myself, but I do remember that it had the chick who played Catalina on Space Cases on it so I thought that was cool (*dork*). Perhaps that girl is doomed to have all her sci-fi shows cancelled before their time ... anyway. Most futurey looking ships look pretty much the same anyway, and come on, if people had to invest all their time into doing meticulous research to make absolutely sure that their ships looked absolutely nothing like any other ship, then that would take time away from things like oh say character and plot development.
And if you take into account every sci-fi movie, TV series, game and book, most general ship designs have got to be covered at least twice. I mean, the Death Star thingy in Star Wars is exactly like a General Products #4 ship from Larry Niven's Known Space books, which definitely started before Star Wars did...
Hah! When some of my friends snagged me and dropped me in front of the TV to introduce me to Firefly, I had a minor spaz attack when I recognized her, and then took several minutes remembering where I'd seen her. XD It continues to be somewhat surreal for me, watching Firefly or Serenity and seeing her all grown up!Never watched the show myself, but I do remember that it had the chick who played Catalina on Space Cases on it so I thought that was cool (*dork*).
It also has Cass from the Matrix. Unless that's the same chick. (She's the black woman, who I adore. Never watched the other show so I dunno who you're referring to.)
And heck, the dvd is entirely worth buying just for the sheer hilarity of the outtakes... (witness the avatar!) ...
DIRTNAP!!
