With the vanishing of Kite's account, it looks like our Discord server also is gone.

I certainly hope that everyone had saved their shit, because I don't think this is something that any of us can revert or fix.

We can (and should?) start fresh, though this is quite a fuckin blow.

Going to add to this:

Right now, not everyone who was part of the discord group is accepting discord friend requests, so. If you have that feature turned on please do contact others with requests if you so desire, but otherwise any outgoing info can't be shared easily.

I had to search around my friends list/DMs history, and I found Kite's old account, which was hacked last summer. It was renamed back then, so I thought it had been deleted when I couldn't find it today, but it has been renamed again. Unfortunately it looks as though the best case scenario here is the hacker has deleted the server - the worst case is they have years worth of everything we've shared on the server, which includes a lot of personal chat. As a safety precaution, be wary of any messages out of the blue you get over the next year or so from someone who seems like a friend.

We should start afresh. I'm not opposed to making the forums our new start, but there is something to be said for the swiftness/immediacy of a chat-based platform. We could explore alternatives to Discord, too.

Yeah Kin made the new backup emergency channel so we can probably work from there. But still here we are clawing back again
