dragon color variation question

I know that there isn't really a rare color around the Nexus anymore, but...

If I were to do something where the dragon's color was going to change between hatching and maturity... would you want to know at the hatching that his/her color was special?

I did something like this before (Ryslen clutch #47) with no warning, and one of the four got abandoned...

I think some kind of hint would be good. I remember the greys too, I was a bit bummed that folks didn't work really all that much with you on that. lol that mine *remained grey* was kind of funny though

You embraced the greyness... I felt bad about not changing Bakkhanri, and bad about "having to" change her.
I will happily amend my records to indicate a color change for her... she is unique. Maybe our "slate grey" friend is Gunmetal (metallic dark grey)?

I think it'd be a neat idea to follow through with, warned for or no. But then I think I'm a bit more easy-going about dragon impressions than some, maybe. I'd definitely be interested in something like that, though.

I think it's a really unique idea, and I would be happy with anything like that. I think a warning would be nice though just so I know to expect something. That way I don't get too comfortable.

Heh...*pets her Ortari Elemental Dragons* Simular to what I do with them but they don't change color, just their gemstones. You really don't know what element they are until they've reached yearling stage and while you can guess what element your dragon 'might' have based on the list of colors, you don't really know. Of course, if i ever get to giving more of them out, i would allow people to hint what they want through their story writting. *dreams*
