Thanks, Shard. I really appreciate all of the participation. I'm so happy that people are coming back to Aneris. It is my baby after all. I'm doing my best to keep it updated, so I'll add your boy in just a second. I'm going to try to put at least one of my own dragons in each flight to help keep things moving, but I definitely prefer having outsiders.

Thanks, Yakima. I like to have stories for reference while I write the hatching and to frequently look at while deciding clutches. There is no deadline so don't worry. I would like to get the clutch hatched by the 30th, but I don't want anyone to feel pressured. I could easily fill in the last two spots myself if necessary.

Oh, I have a question.. Do you guys want just one stage or 2 stages? I do have all of my hatchling images, so we could do two easily.

Hmm...for most of my candidates I don't write hatching stories or such, so I would just need the adult image. It might be easier to make all the images available during the Hatching so that those that would like to use them can.

I'm glad you like them Dray. The girl who did them did a good job on them. I'm still not 100% on the shading. I'm not very good at it, but I think I did alright.

I think that's probably what I'll end up doing, Shard, and if anyone wants/ needs a weyrling image. I have those for every color except gold, so they can just ask for them.

EDIT: I have found a blank adult image. It's the size of my white image and unshaded... I might be able to use it to do some non-traditional type dragons. That is if I or someone else can shade it for me and others won't mind the smaller image.

It's pretty strange too, I've never won a gold at Aneris nor a rare. I think I managed it everywhere else, though.

Ah and it looks like Udrili's green still needs its adult (and on their new pages, which I can provide if reocities can't). (and her pictures are broken I don't know why. hm.)

Sure. I was just seeing if it was even possible. After all, I don't have templates. I just have the finished product that Falora was so kind as to create for me. I saved the PSD file, so maybe I just need to change up the gradient.

I tried last night to shade the blank I have to try and create a template to use for odd colors at Aneris... It didn't turn out so well. :/ I struggled a lot just shading the firelizards, so a larger scale didn't really work.

Oh, if you're using photoshop try this...


1. new layer
2. make that layer black
3. make a mask
4. select gradient tool and make sure the gradient is black to white fade
5. drag the gradient tool in the direction you want it to go
6. hold down option (for mac...not sure the windows key) and hover over the layers until a black and white circle type thing shows up. click that layer (you should hover really close between the two layers)

I used the green and got this:

This is what I managed with the flit template really quickly. He'd be cleaner if I took a bit longer with him.

I certainly second that! The Kshau Protectorate was one of my favorites, and the frenzies/flurries were always crazy fun. There were interesting ones like Braethas Raug mixed in the the really traditional ones like Aneris, so you could get a bit of old and a bit of new. XD

Well I do still have two (mostly)traditional clutches waiting it out - though by now it's been since Geocities went belly up, and most folks aren't even around any longer. :/ The You Walk Into A Weyr clutch as well as the one from way farther back which was the 'Team Building' nest. I still really would love to see that one come out, though honestly I don't even remember if I have the images colored. I know I inked and scanned them. Yeah they're scanned but not colored... after so long >_>

Well I haven't updated the sites they go on, yet - though Dragonhope is pretty much functional, the other nest is mired in the Dawnlight/Blackstone portion which is woefully behind.

The YWIAW clutch is kind of "whoever shows up" gets something, as long as the rules are followed. i mean, my own candidates semi-don't, given that I use a paraphrase of You Walk Into A Weyr for a couple of em.

Those are the old-ass Talor Cliff dragons, too. Still so amazingly cool after all these years though

I agree with my sister, Shard. I loved the entire set up at Kshau Protectorate. Adherath is still one of my favorite dragons. I really miss the heyday of our little community. I guess too many of us grew up and grew away from our adoptables.

Hmmmmm, where would I find information on the YWIAW clutch?

Also, what'd you guys think of the other version of the night blue? I would really love to be able to do some rares occasionally at Aneris. And I'm sooooooooooo excited to write the hatching.

Well I definitely like the night-blue's appearance. Whatever it was you've done, it seems to have worked. Maybe like Ryslen, you'll wind up with nights and lights?
