Jiunli Giveaway!

Well, the creature I drew and posted in the Art forum as a pet is called a Jiunli. As Kilandaia can't open until the final F&FF ceremony goes out I have no way of giving these guys out, so I'm doing a giveaway! You may request up to two at a time and I'll probably start giving them out tomorrow or later today depending on how long it takes me to color them. If you request two you'll automatically get a male and a female (be sure you read the info below, it'll explain why!) but if you request only one the gender will be random based on the numbers you pick.

Information:

Jiunli are rather cat-like in attitude and personality, though some of them do have a bit of dog personality to them as well. They're a very diverse bunch and if you choose to breed them please contact me as there are a number of recessive traits that could pop up if the right pair is bred! The main traits that remain consistent though is that females are more active and muscular than males. The females tend to be even a tad rambunctious while the males are rather lazy. The only thing that will change the personality of a male is when a nearby female goes into heat. At this time the males become dominant, aggresive, and occasionally ferocious in their attempt to find and mate with the female. Females tend to be extremely same-gender aggressive, at least within the species, so it's not advised that you ever have two females in the same house unless one of them is abnormally docile!

Females tend to mate with more than one male each time they come into heat as they only have about a one in four chance of being impregnated by any given male. The young are liveborn and depending how many males were successful in mating, the female can have anywhere from three to twelve offspring per litter.

They come in a wide variety of colors, usually based predominantly on the colors of the parents and grandparents with the occasional recessive color popping up.

But I also have questions: how intelligent/sentient are Jiunli's? Thinking in terms of whether they'd be pets to a character or dragonry in general, or whether they're fully sentient and would have their own agenda when it comes to where they live and so on. If they're pretty much pet / guard-animal, then do they bond? 'sall good, either way... Just immensely curious and trying to think what I want to do with the pair I've just requested. I have about six ideas at the moment, but my imagination is running overtime today...

They're about as intelligent as the smartest cat you've ever known and have their own agenda much like a cat would. Now that's not to say that you can't befriend them and change their agenda, much like cats! They don't really bond, but if they're with the same person from the time they're old enough to leave their mother they will develop a bond-like attachment to them. They don't speak, they have their own language of clicks and yowls, but much like our 'real' pets find ways to get their message across, these guys will too!

I've been recording everyone's info so far, but now I have to head in to work for a bit. I'll start posting them tonight most likely, if this cold I seem to have caught somewhere doesn't knock me out first...

Okay Recessive Traits:

If your Jiunli has a recessive trait and they breed with a Jiunli that has the same recessive trait, there is a one in four chance that their offspring will have that recessive trait. So in other words, here's the chance for these guys to start getting really really interesting if you choose to breed them right.

Right now I'm not entirely certain what would come of a mating between two different recessive traits, but I suppose it's possible they'd both turn up...

It's a 'finger' of sorts...they can actually wrap it around things to pick them up, and if their 'owner' trains them right they can even learn some fine motor skills with them...as their 'paws' are kinda large and not really good for grasping anything...

Did you want to choose a second set of colors, Kayla or use the same for both?
