Nexus Night Before Christmas, 2009

T'was the night before Christmas and out on the board,
Folks were coming and going, a right Christmas horde
The stockings were hung in the Giveaways forum
Yeah, stockings for once, you can thank the Dray for 'em

Give'ways updating with gifts for all lookers,
Websites with facelifts and lots of newcomers
Clutches and species and old friends galore,
Good things to the Nexus had come in this year

And I, with space-heater and George at my side,
Just slightly sozzled on good scotch and wine,
Was lurking about at the thread Stocking Stuffers,
Occasionally tapping f5 or apple+r

Awaiting a mischievous Dray to alight
In the Giveaway forum to complete the night
With hints and with teases of giftings to come
Perhaps on the morrow or next day to get some!

But also with Wu Weyr's Dragon Surprise
And watching on Aireona's Sevar Skai
And StarFyre's and Yaki's and Kitsuneko's
And Cy's and then Myrror's giveaways to look to

The generous spirit was nigh overflowing,
And those of us getting were practically glowing
The Nexus shines brightly at this time of year
(Though I get sentimental and mushy, I fear)

So with jolly good spirits it's time for warm bed
But watch out the window, maybe, for flitter heads...
Cause you just never know on Christmas, am I right?
