Stats
Naming: No convention
Size: Approximately the size of a dog, but you can choose whether it's a small dog, a large dog, or somewhere in between.
Diet: Mostly fishies, but also various veggies.
Breeding: Can interbreed with other speices, no problem.
Growth: Squiddy-fellows are full grown after the first year.
Habitat: Amphibious.
Abilities
Suction-hands: All ten of the squiddy-fellows limbs are capable of gripping, and their fore-most arms are capable of fine manipulation. They do tend to end up with things accidentally attached when not paying attention though.
Big Brain: Not just for decoration (maybe)! Having a colourful, squishy brain allows the squiddy-fellows to keep track of a great number of trains of thought at once. They could be able to follow several different research topics at once, but still not notice they're walking around with a book stuck to their butt. Or they could be very aware of everything going on around them, but be incapable of keeping up with excited scholar-chatter.
Impressive Muscles: It takes some doing to learn to walk on tentacles, but that's what the squiddy-fellows have done. Developing the muscles to control four of their tentacles like legs. When they're asleep though, their 'legs' don't fold, like land-bound animals, but go boneless, like their tails and fore-tentacles.
Psionics: Squiddy-fellows communicate primarily through telepathy, and have developed the teleportation and telekinesis to go with it.
Speech: Squiddy-fellows are capable of a slightly garbled, and almost "underwater" sounding form of verbal speech. They can learn multiple languages with relative ease.
