Dark Moon Records...Archive Site?

I have a feeling this is somewhere hidden within this forum but didn't someone try to get the DMW records at some point and maybe have them? I have a bunch of riders from DMW but I have no idea what order they Impresses which makes it kinda hard to place them on the timeline that I am working on so I can write Philippe's offical seach and stuff 'cause...well, I'm bored and was inspired. And since I've lost all those pages I have liberty to redo them, right? Even if the Impression recorded at Ryslen will be wrong 'cause he shows up at Falas and then is searched... >.< Sorry, Ty. You're free to kill me. When I wrote him way back when I never knew he would become a supporting main character and evolve this much.

So yeah, anyone stash the records? *looks as Shard* Or am I think the Talor Cliff Records, come to think of it.........urg....

Okay,well, if you ever find 'em, I would be very happy to know in which order my riders impresses...I have like....20 of them from Dark Moon. I think that was only 'cause Azala and I were friends in RL so we talked about dragon stuff between classes and stuff.

I miss her...I never see or talk to her any more. Grrr...

Argh, I actually have the good majority of DMW's records saved to disk, but they're all inaccessible at the moment. As soon as my computer is functional again (or officially proven dead) I'll get to checking my external for any stray nasties and get back to you.

I want to keep this computer running smoothly until such time as I get Miko back or a new computer. And that means being ultra-paranoid. *chuckles*

Here is everything I have...which isn't much sadly.

I have clutch charts to a certain point, and then the hatching story of clutch 19. A few odd pictures of the Weyr and that's it. It's all in a zip file for easy access.

Here ya go!

I'll keep digging for more of her records for you, I think I probably have them saved on some obscure floppy disk somewhere.

Oh, yeah! Thanks Dracliea! At least the mystery of my first three riders have been solved...I didn't realize that E'lan became Weyrleader so soon. Heh...well, at least I know.

No rush, Keilin! I found so many mistakes in my original charts that determined the ages for my riders that I'm sure half the ages on their pages are wrong. >.< I've also been scowering my own records to see who is mentioned and when. Slowly but surly, it's working.

Now...to work on my Threadfall Chart map...which is five times more confusing then this. *snerk*

*looks at pictures in zip file* OMG...That's actually kinda funny knowing I drew the image and map for her. *looks at what Falas gets now...* Yeah, I think I'm going to pay tribute and try rendering a DMW terragen pic...just 'cause. LOL

I still have the original drawing of both DMW and Falas...this was Falas' original drawing. I hate that I can't get nice interior shots of Falas with Terragen but I love the Terragen renders anyway.

Anyway, if no one minds, I'll put the Dark Moon records (what can be found from what people have), up at Falas Weyr. If no one objects, of course.

EDITS LATER: Well, either way, I have the records started and will probably put up pedigree later 'cause I like doing them. Makes making pedigrees much easier/faster.

If you have something to add, let me know. Also, were there 25 clutches or did it only get to 21? *blinks* They're up at Falas now - go to the Records, there is a link that says Dark Moon Records. I've been seaching for the parents' names to try to find anything that comes up. I have one clutch done but no rider names. *pokes Shard* I know you have some!

Okay, so I've been wondering...are there any other Weyrs that have lost records that someone might have gotten smart and saved? I already have snagged Talor Cliff, Aneris, Aden, Jerdan (mostly for when I seach for parents that might have hatched from there)...

Cincanta dosn't have lists anymore, it dosn't seem. I'm going to go search for Talis and anything else I can think of. Dawn Sister's Weyr seems to be gone compeltely which stinks 'cause I had a few riders from there. *pouts*

I also had this....wildly "brilant" idea to put together a quick site that lists the clutch records (only...no stories...) of some of these places just for pedigree purposes. Of course, that is one major undertaking but it would be nice to compile everything we have into one site for the Weyrs now gone, eh?

Just a thought.

Oh, and Falas' records are getting a make-over as well as the Dark Moon additions...expecially for pedigrees. I'm going to include where the dragon hatched from and the clutch number if that information is available.

Heh....don't ask. Kahii is just bored out of her mind since I put Falas on hold and focused on the FPGC. *snerk* She's getting pay back by making me help...*grumbles*

Time to make a coil-bound couple of copies from a photocopy place! ;P You could have your own 'Weyrs through the ages' in page-turning print!

I have like 4 boxes worth of printed out hatchings... plus all the candidate pages that I would usually print out when I was running a frenzy so I could match dragons... I'm such a goddamn packrat.

So... take 'em into a program and design a page setup, then print them all off so that they look shiny and nicely designed? ;P

I actually think it might be fun to do something like that. XD Get some kind of 'Volumes I thru II -- Nexus, the Early Years' or something. It would be kind of novel to print out rider stories and follow through them in coil-bound form, given that they'd have to be edited and prettied up.

XD Maybe during the summer I'll offer my PageMaker services if people want to do something similar like that. I hear that binding doesn't cost a heck of a lot.

Provided the pages saved correctly (sometimes .mht format can process a little wonky) I have an entire folder on my external drive dedicated to old hatching stories and record rooms. I used to be a little obsessive with the completeness of my dragon genealogy records, especially the old ones. >.>

But if we're serious about assembling some kind of complete-ish cyberpet-dragon archive at some point, I could donate those to the cause. Heck, I could also donate pieces of my genealogies in general. Some of those were extensive (it's always fun finding a Jerdan/Aden/old Aneris dragon in the ancestry) or tracked some interesting lines.

*chuckles* Well, I was kinda thinking of creating a site somewhere where the password was known to those who want to help get it up. *looks over at Shard and Kielin who obviously have printed records* That way no one person is bogged down in trying to get it up. The set up would be simple enough. Kinda like this, perhaps:

I wouldn't even *drum roll from Segs* do anything special with the tables. XD

But I think something that simple would be good. I don't think we need to put hatchings and flights up but we could, but this whole idea is basically meant to find parents of dragons and such.

We don't need to know the hatching. heehee.

And, if people really got ambitious, we could put other records from other places up. (In which case it could be called "Nexus Archives" or something, rather then "Weyr Archives"

) I also kinda like the pedigree's being available (go check out Falas Weyr and the DMW record pages...I don't know about other people but having those saves time, no?

) If you all want me to put together a site quick *wishes she could use Dreamweaver for this...for once* to see what I mean, I can.

Okay, so had the idea burning all day and did it already. It's on my site to show off the idea but, just in case RL causes me to go poof at some point, might be a good idea not to keep it there.

Only Talor Cliff has anything but it shows the basic layout for the info, clutch charts, and pedigree (I think genology will work better in this case thus they are so named). I will put Falas' up, too, eventaually and if this idea keeps, I won't bother putting DMW's at Falas and just stick them at this site.

Don't forget Gallimim. I've got a bunch of those records and even the site's pages stored on my hd, though I don't know if I ever collected the entire site, because well, that's hard. I have bits of Seasparkul (sparkul), and probably a couple others sitting around.

Would anyone know how to add a search thing to the site (only) so one can find dragons quicker? Or is that just way to complicated....

I've thought about doing this for the winged wolves, too...but the format would have to be different because not all the wolves out there were born from recorded litters.

I'll deal with that later. Right now, there are some busy Weyrwoman at Falas Weyr! Mwahaahaa! ;P

Found the old Beach Shards Weyr records on the Wayback Machine. The charts and all the hatching/flight stories are still intact!

And I was looking through really ridiculously old files on my computer and discovered that lo and behold, I have TWO Dark Moon Weyr dragons, both blues, from my shitty-candidate-writing age, when I first started with dragoning.

Anyone happen to have access to any Dark Moon blue dragon images? I have only the hatchling stage for Saonth and only the hatchling and weyrling images for Clyth, and would really like to re-page them and their riders. :/

Azala gave me the templates. I also have blues so if you give me the hatchling image i can match them up to the ones I had to redo for myself. Or, I can try to find the originals before she reshaded them. I have some of those, too.
