Video recording program

Post by Dev »

I keep forgetting about this place... Hmmm ANYWAY

I need a program to record myself in photoshop, something free or *cough* at least free to me. that works well. Figured there must be someone here who knows something like that. Was going to buy Fraps but apparently it does not work with Photoshop.

Any help would rock and uhh... yeah. Hi.

Not free by any stretch of the imagination, but if you're able to find, ahem, alternative methods of getting it, then Camtasia Studio is the best on the market if you have Windows. Jing is a good free legal program, but it has a lot of limitations due to its free-ness. Those are the two that I've used, but if I find any others I'll let you know :)

Yeah I wasn't ... too sure that was possible anyway. Maybe have better luck directing you to something, if I knew what it was you were trying to record? There are programs that artists use to record their screen while they're working on a piece, I've seen Scott Kurtz do it for PVP, is that what you need? It takes a full-screen cap though, so everything you're doing is visible that I can recall.

I just changed some settings in Camstudio and got it to work the way I wanted. :)

I did a test color to test it out.

XD The face at the end made me laugh.

When I'm colouring like that I usually make all of my flat colours first, set a light direction and the colour of light (and shadow) and try to make everything in the same light... so usually things wind up WAY less saturated in the end. I also start with darker colours than I'd use and just colour lighter and lighter, maybe with a hint of darker along the way. X33 Means you can also abuse the colour dodge tool if you want the epic look!

Keep it up though! :D YAY COMICS!

Hmm, there's no mention of compatibility... I might hold off for now, but when I have some spare time (and an external harddrive to back all of my stuff on to!) I'll give it a shot. :3
