Help...Drawing a folded ish wing
So i'm trying to draw a wing for my new and improved dragon template... and i want to draw the wings so their like half up and open and half down and closed...if that makes sence to anyone but me... can anyone help me make it look like its wings aren't just two square boxes...idk like show me how you would draw it so i had a pic to work off of or something... i'll upload what i got so far later...
Not exactly sure what you're trying to say, here. Are you wanting the finger-part of the wing to be folded, or the lower elbow folded with the fingers spread?
In either case, best google (or search) for images of bats and birds. :) It's best to work from photo references because they're 'real' as opposed to drawings, which can be skewed in terms of anatomy because we assume certain things about the body.
Once you have something drawn and post it, I'm sure we could redline it to show you how to fix it if it needs it... but I don't think I could provide you with something to trace off of. o.o

I saved two tutorials on drawing feathered wings (including various styles of folded) way back in ancient days, but since I'm not entirely sure where I downloaded them from, I'm a little uncomfortable linking them.
However, I did find one ginormous tutorial linkpage. Perhaps it'll help you out:

Hard to judge from a quickie like that, but as it is, it seems to me that positioning looks very awkward and uncomfortable--unless it's the upstroke of a dragon in flight. If the dragon is just standing about, I imagine it'd be uncomfortable with its wing-elbows pointed up in the air like that.
I tried to find you a picture of a bat with wings half-folded, but all the angles of the shot are wrong. But I'd drop the elbow so the arm is being held parallel to the body. It's a more comfortable-looking pose that I've used quite a lot, myself.

Is this kinda what you're looking for? Phe is right, that position would be a bit uncomfortable unless it's flying.
