STAGE 0:

When you first see a Weyr, your thoughts are about:
What your new chores would be, and where you're staying.
I'm a bit nervous... I've heard lots of rumors about Candidacy and not many of them are good ones!

Of the chores you're expected to do as a Candidate, you most like:
Sitting with the youngest ones as a Creche-helper.
Oh my gosh, babies!

STAGE 1: Lumith

Your dragon considers firestone tossing to be:
Building your strength.
Lumith always looks on the bright side of life. Don't get me wrong, she also finds it amusing to watch me tossing sacks of heavy rocks around, but her good natured reminders make her hard to resent!

STAGE 2: Swath

Your dragon and you were accepted into a wing after:
You suffered Threadscore.
As much as Swath was a detriment to 'weaker' clutch-mates, and as much as he was scored by Thread the last Fall, I think the other wing-riders ushered us in when they noted how quickly we recovered. It's been a few weeks but I'll be damned if missing a living hand is going to keep me grounded, or away from my dragon. Swath is more dangerous on his own than when I'm with him, anyways.

Dray!

Your egg doesn't hatch today, though it's potential grows!

Lumith remains a hatchling. Her point has been noted!

As for Swath... Your combined determination must explain why he's managed to grow so quickly!

Congratulations! Your Swath is the first adult dragon at YWIAW! His bronze coloration has lightened a shade as he hit adulthood. From now on, points will be awarded into categories of gender, element, and pattern!

STAGE 0:

When you first see a Weyr, your thoughts are about:
How many people and dragons were needed to run the Weyr. Its crazy how many people are here, behind the scenes. Cooks, Drudges, Candidates doing lots of the cleaning, and hundreds more. And the sheer amount of Dragons needed to keep the Weyr running is hard to wrap your mind around.

Of the chores you're expected to do as a Candidate, you most like:
Working with the runnerbeasts and herdbeasts in the stable and the feeding pens. I have always loved creatures of every size. Animals are just so much more accepting and willing to give love than humans, and I would rather be around that than anything else.

STAGE 2: Trillianth

Your dragon and you were accepted into a wing after:
Your dragon proved their ability in flying firestone sacks in Threadfall. Because she is a gold, she feels like there has to be something she can really do to help out the fighting dragons. One thing that her smaller size, being just a Weyrling, has helped is carrying extra firestone for the fighting dragons. I'm surprised they let us in the air during threadfall to begin with..

No growth for Trillianth today, though again, she's so very close!

On the other hand...

The call to gather on the sands is an old one, but the excitement never quite goes away. As hatchlings break free of their binding eggs, creels of hunger and croons of relief echo around the cavern.

An odd warmth sweeps through you, swirling around and leaving you feeling almost lightheaded as a singular voice speaks directly to your mind: I hunger. Find food for me, please?

A beautiful brown! What is his name?

Building your strength.
Making you sore.
Making apparent your inherent clumsiness.
Amusing to watch.

honestly it's really a mix of the last two, but I'll just go ahead and say it's much more of a show of ineptitude than fun.

Swath: ~Heh. Risk for gain, you'll learn, is the best way to grow by leaps and bounds. >3~

Sooo pretty! :D I like his wings... is that a pattern or will the darker wing-bits be common on all dragons?

My SO asked me the same thing! XD

That's standard adult dragon faire, and can be thought of however you wish. (I'd intended to be able to see the other wing shadowed through the first, but who knows! =D)

Egg Question 1:
You are asked to line up with the other children and young adults of Candidate age ( 11-28 ). While in line, you:
Try to correct your posture and stare straight ahead, awaiting inspection. I'm not precisely trying to show off, but... well.. that is how I was raised.

Egg Question 2:
A blue dragon is standing in the courtyard, his rider nowhere in sight. You hear a voice in your head say, "That one," and you:
Immediately turn around to figure out who was talking. It's just... one of those things, you know? I don't like people talking about me when I can't see them.

STAGE 1: Arlenth

Your dragon considers firestone tossing to be:
Building your strength. Arlenth refuses to have a weak rider, when he is such a magnificent bronze. Thus, anything that would build my strength is an absolute must -- I swear, that dragon is a harder taskmaster than the weyrlingmaster! ((Or person of equivilant rank that the newly bonded report to.. I forget if weyrlingmaster has control of their training from day one or not..))

STAGE 2: Geddeth

Your dragon and you were accepted into a wing after:
Your dragon proved their ability in flying firestone sacks in Threadfall. Geddeth refused to be daunted by Threadfall, continuing flying the firestone sacks even during the heaviest of the fall, when the other riders needed the resupply most. He made sure to pace himself, so that he could stay fit throughout the entire fall, and by the time the fall was finished, he was no more winded then if he'd been flying a simple patrol for the entire time.

When you first see a Weyr, your thoughts are about:

Assisting the Head Cook's kitchen workers in preparing the meals.

Egg Question 2:
A blue dragon is standing in the courtyard, his rider nowhere in sight. You hear a voice in your head say, "That one," and you:
Wonder where the dragonrider has gone.

STAGE 1: Tazonith

Your dragon considers firestone tossing to be:
Amusing to watch, and add commentary to. Tazonith seems to think he could toss it better than I could, and in his opinion I am slower than a snail. Better slow and accurate than fast and sloppy, I say. "Oh shard it all, I missed!" Tazonith smirks, but desides to keep quiet when he sees me glaring at him.

STAGE 2: Rinareth

Your dragon and you were accepted into a wing after:
Your dragon proved their ability in flying firestone sacks in Threadfall. Rin seems to have an uncanny ability to weave through any tight spots. Even with the deadly Thread falling around him, he keeps his cool and always finds his way around to those who have called out for more firestone sacks. The one time he was hit so far landed on his left flank, and left a very nasty scar. He got a little full of himself and thought he could make it though there was only a few seconds gap between two big clumps. He was back up in the action within two sevendays, though. The wingleaders agreed that any dragon that determined to do his job was needed in the wings.

Egg Question 1:

Wonder why, exactly, you have to do this.
Are glad to have gotten time off from chores.
Try to correct your posture and stare straight ahead, awaiting inspection.
Look around nervously and try to half-hide behind your friend.
Laugh and joke about what else is going on in the courtyard with the person next to you.

Egg Question 2:
A blue dragon is standing in the courtyard, his rider nowhere in sight. You hear a voice in your head say, "That one," and you:
Immediately turn around to figure out who was talking.
Figure your imagination has gotten the better of you yet again.
Wonder why you thought, "That one."
Wonder where the dragonrider has gone.
Crouch suspiciously against the wall, figuring someone has figured out you ate the last tart on the table this morning.

Arelenth!

Your dragon and you were accepted into a wing after:
Your dragon proved their ability in flying firestone sacks in Threadfall.

Arelenth desperately wanted to get into a wing, but I'm not quite adept enough to work a flamethrower-thingamajig, but somehow we made it into firestone-delivery. Arelenth has what seems like a psychic-sixth-sense that directs her away from the patches of thread, then I toss the firestone and we go reload... I keep my eyes closed until Arelenth says, Mine, hand over the firestone or this bronze might hurt you. It helps if I can't see how far down the ground is, actually...

Eggy!

When you first see a Weyr, your thoughts are about:
Where the kitchens are, and when you'll next be eating.

I'm hungry, and my mind is always on food... I'm worse than a newborn dragon in that respect, actually. Hand over the klah and no one gets hurt! ...of course, I might sneak a little whenever it's available. That's why I work in the kitchens when I get the chance.

Of the chores you're expected to do as a Candidate, you most like:
Assisting the Head Cook's kitchen workers in preparing the meals.

I might not be too good at cooking, but not only can I chop meat and vegetables and make a passible stew, I occasionally get to eat a mouthful in between chops! ...Call me a pig, but I burn the calories chasing small children out of the kitchen! It all works out in the end. ^^

StarFyre:

Oh my. Something about this egg almost makes you want to sing!

Image

Arlenth's stance is noted! (He would be reporting to the Weyrlingmaster. As soon as the dragons bond, their riders report to the Weyrlingmaster. =D)

And his magnificence might be paying off! Arlenth skyrockets past hatchling to Weyrling size!

Image --> Image

No growth for Geddeth tonight!

Xalia:

Your egg shivers on the sands, and sends corresponding shivers through you. In the blink of an eye that lasted a few hours, a wet snout breaks free of the confines of the shell and bellows!

Image --> Image

Anne McCaffrey would have been proud of the bronze that breaks free! You're filled with several emotions - pride on of them - as his swirling orbs of orbiness lock with your own orbs and fuse your minds into one. Shattering your world perceptions, throwing you directly into a metaphysical pleasure-zone, you hear only one thing...

What is his name?

--Looking at Wentworth, you find yourself squinting and looking upward. When did he get so big?

Image --> Image

Congratulations! He's a Weyrling now!

Reenee:

Your answer has been noted! No growth for Llaenth today!

Dracleia:

Here's an egg for you!

Image

Your points have been awarded.

No growth for Tazonith tonight, but his answer has been noted!

As you're asked to the tables of your wing, one of the other wingriders congratulates you on the fine looking brown you ride. You wonder why, when later that evening a thought strikes:

Image --> Image

Rinareth has darkened two shades, and now is full grown! (He can participate in breeding "flights" and will be earning points in gender, pattern, and element from now on!) Congratulations!

Yakima!:

Congratulations on getting Egg #30! (And on remembering! I'm so glad you can join in!)

Image

The last egg of this week is yours! Your answers have been noted, and points duly awarded. =)

K. Mythos:

Arelenth's Thread-dodging skills seem to have coincided with her reaching her full growth!

Image --> Image

She has darkened two shades as she grew, and can now proudly proclaim herself as an adult dragon! She can also be bred, and will earn points towards gender, pattern, and element.

Your egg doesn't hatch tonight, but it might as soon as Monday!

STAGE 1: Answer this if your egg has hatched.

Your dragon considers firestone tossing to be:
Necessary. - Firenth
Building your strength. - Vhalyanth

Firenth thinks that tossing the firestone to me is a necessary task that will make my response time better if and when Thread comes to fall. Who knows, I'm sure that in the future, my ability to catch the tossed firestone will halve the time it takes for me to get my firestone if I ever run out of them during a Threadfall fight.

Vhalyanth thinks that I need to gain more strength since he says that I look too skinny. Hence, he tosses the firestone to me so that I shall be able to slowly build up my strength as well as gain the endurance to fight long and hard against Thread.

STAGE 1: Harpyth

Your dragon is beginning to hunt for themselves. On their first try, do they:
Take on too much of a challenge, and almost hurt themselves? Knowing Harpyth, thats exactly what he did. Trying to take down a large Wherry all on his own, he actually got kicked at and knocked over. Being myself, I ran over to make sure he wasn't hurt, but he just brushed off the failure and walked off to sulk.

STAGE 2: Trillianth

Your dragon has begun to notice the way you interact with other people. They find human interactions:
Endearing, to the point where they give you mental nudges to move with groups of others. She really encourages my interaction with other people, possibly due to the fact that I have a tendency to ignore everyone around me and avoid talking to people.

Congratulations! Trillianth is now an adult. She lightened four shades from weyrlinghood. She is able to mate (as of Wednesday), and further questions answered on her behalf will award points to pattern, gender, and element!

4/4 Eggs Taken this week!

Waiting List
None

Mating Flight Results:

Monday's flight numbers were: 3, 5, and 8.

Bronze Swath flew Green Greenth; no eggs resulting.
Brown Rinareth flew Green Greenerth; no eggs resulting.
Gold Arelenth was flown by Bronze Bronzeth; 1 egg resulting.

Would anyone care for a sort of waiting list for an egg?

To claim a Stage 0 Dragon Egg this week, any prior eggs you have must have already hatched. If you have no prior eggs, or all your eggs have hatched, fill out the following form and it's attached two questions:

Your Name:
Email (for contact purposes):
Egg Question 1:
You are asked to line up with the other children and young adults of Candidate age ( 11-28 ). While in line, you:

---

STAGE 0: Answer these if you have an egg already.

You're brought to look at the eggs while the Queen has stepped out for a moment. Looking around at them, you are most likely to have thought:
How if these were the eggs of any lesser creature, they would make a wonderful omlet.
Which egg is going to hatch first, and if it will be bronze or not.
If there will be enough selection with your fellow candidates to prevent any newborn from going immediately Between.
How impossible it seemed that such massive creatures had such humble beginnings.
That the crack in the wall over by the stands might potentially be a way to sneak back in to find more time with the eggs later.

Of the classes you sit through as a Candidate, you are most interested in:
History.
Mathematics.
Biology.
General Education.
Writing.

STAGE 1: Answer this if your egg has hatched.

Your dragon hatchling is hungry. They:
Nudge your hand, while pleading with you mentally to feed them.
Bite your hand, while demanding you to feed them.
Remind you politely that they, your most important creature, need more food.
Moan and whine and send you clear mental images of food while they ask to be fed.
Have started moving toward the feeding grounds, because by golly, they've seen older dragons eat there!

STAGE 2: Answer this if your hatchling has grown into a Weyrling!

The Fledgling Dragons are socializing as they sun themselves in the early morning. Your dragon in particular is:
Complimenting other dragons.
Flirting with other dragons.
Discussing you with other dragons.
Falling asleep and occasionally chiming in to the conversations.
In silent contemplation.

STAGE 3: Answer this if your dragon is an Adult!

Your dragon most enjoys:
Riding on search.
Flying thread.
Bathing.
Sunning.
Listening in on others and their activities.
Mating flights.

---

DNS: Your dragon's answer is noted; no growth for yesterday. Maybe she'll sprout up today!

STAGE 0
You're brought to look at the eggs while the Queen has stepped out for a moment. Looking around at them, you are most likely to have thought:
If there will be enough selection with your fellow candidates to prevent any newborn from going immediately Between.
I've heard about how these poor little things can't live without another mind! D:
Of course that doesn't mean that I'm not looking for a way to see them again... particularly with 'my' egg. If it weren't for the snappy gold nag occupying the sands I'd be sitting on the eggs and warming them!

Of the classes you sit through as a Candidate, you are most interested in:
General Education.
I love learning about new worlds! This one is a little backwards but it's still grand! Dragons! Babies! Dragon-babies! Caring for dragon-babies!

STAGE 1: Lumith
Your dragon hatchling is hungry. They:
Nudge your hand, while pleading with you mentally to feed them.
Lumith is polite and humble but she's like a puppy at this stage, she won't take no for an answer!

STAGE 3: Swath
Your dragon most enjoys:
Mating flights.
It's a tossup between flights and flying Thread, but Swath enjoyed catching Greenth and nobody got hurt (except the other chasers, heh) which is much unlike what Thread can do!

Breeding forms only on Mondays?

STAGE 2: Answer this if your hatchling has grown into a Weyrling!

Complimenting other dragons.
Valroth is starting to understand the value of praise as well as ire, the best way we can get a wing to do what we want, is to make them want to do what we ask.
