I'm a day late, ack! -_-;;

Your dragon may have grown, but you're still part of the Weyr! Which task do you excel at?:
Hunting tunnelsnakes. Rinareth seems to know exactly when and where to look for the little beasts. He even ran ahead one afternoon and came back with one hanging from his mouth. He had, uhm....been a little too eager and had blood all over his paws and muzzle. He says he likes enjoys playing this game, although I don't think the Headwoman would necessarily call it that.

Did both of the eggs get claimed that were up in the 2/3 eggs available?

If not:

Your Name: Feline
Email (for contact purposes): LRKiger@yahoo.com
Egg Question 1: You are asked to line up with the other children and young adults of Candidate age (11-28). While in line, you:
Laugh and joke about what else is going on in the courtyard with the person next to you.

Egg Question 2:
A blue dragon is standing in the courtyard, his rider nowhere in sight. You hear a voice in your head say, "That one," and you:
Figure your imagination has gotten the better of you yet again.

i still am not entirely sure if these are the right questions, but i think so. :D so i will try.

STAGE 0
Your name: dns
email: dada.siegt@gmail.com
Where do you spend most your free time in the Weyr?:
Hanging out with the friend's I've made in the Candidate's Barracks.
Hanging out with my long-time friends in our nooks and crannies around the Weyr.
[vExploring the tunnels and caves in the Weyr proper.
Observing the dragons and their riders in their daily activities. Though i do love me some explorin', I have to say that it's the dragons that interest me most. I can't wait to be doing the same things, even if they're just every day things. Every day things to a dragonrider is hellainteresting to a candidate. :D
Reading, either to catch up on lessons or because something you heard triggered a memory of something else you've read before.

Your bunk in the candidate barracks is, at a glance:
Neat.
Colorful.
Messy. I can't help it-- i'm haphazard and so is most of my stuff. :3 wheefuntime!
Half-made.
Not there.

Are glad to have gotten time off from chores. I mean, they're okay and all, everybody's gotta pull thier own weight. But in a really hot sun, with limited breaks, and a bunch of other hot, sweaty people around you, it gets tough. It would suck if the work didn't pay off though.

STAGE 0
Where do you spend most your free time in the Weyr?:
Hanging out with the friend's I've made in the Candidate's Barracks.
Observing the dragons and their riders in their daily activities.

I have to say it's a complete toss up... I cannot decide between the two at all... Sure, I'm a sociable person, what can I say... but I like my own space too... So while I love hanging out with my fellow candidates, I have had enough of them sooner then they've had enough of each other - so I'll regularly wander off for some "me time"... and that me time usually involves watching the dragons and their riders (or down the stables, but that isn't an option :()... I still can't believe I'm at the Weyr and have the chance for such an honour as impressing, so partly it's that I want to learn everything I can... and partly is just cause they're so bloody damn impressive... who wouldn't want to spend time watching them?

[Just pick (or roll a dice) to decide which answer to award points for... I *really* couldn't choose].

Your bunk in the candidate barracks is, at a glance:
Half-made.

Well technically, the bed is fully made - it's one of the few things I do do on a daily basis... however, it's piled high with other stuff that I haven't put away (clothes, books, whatever else I am currently not using, but will be using again very soon so don't see the point in putting away properly...) so I would - if asked - refer to the bed as half-made, since there is no way I could just jump into bed at any moment without spending a good 5-10 mins clearing it first. (As for tidying under it... hah! There's too much random stuff there >.<)

Mud: You're close to hatching in two ways, but aren't quite out of the shell yet!

Shard: I'm fairly sure that you only need to answer the Stage 1 question for Valroth this round. Unless I missed something!

K. Mythos:
What a mischievous little dragon! She's still too little to hunt yet, but from how things look, that may not be for long!

Dracleia:
Rinareth is growing so quickly! But he's not quite a weyrling yet. He's close!

Feline: As you look across the sands, it feels like your eyes are drawn to one egg in particular.

Image

Answers noted and recorded!

DNS:
You've got it right. You're so close to hatching right now, too! I don't think you were able to figure out Monday's questions? If you go to the Livejournal community, these would be the two questions you would need to answer. As another Monday has not yet rolled around, feel free to answer these questions here on the Nexus.

Of the classes you sit through as a Candidate, you are least interested in:
History.
Mathematics.
Biology.
General Education.
Writing.

A blue dragon is standing in the courtyard, his rider nowhere in sight. You hear a voice in your head say, "That one," and you:

Immediately turn around to figure out who was talking.
Figure your imagination has gotten the better of you yet again.
Wonder why you thought, "That one."
Wonder where the dragonrider has gone.
Crouch suspiciously against the wall, figuring someone has figured out you ate the last tart on the table this morning.

Eccentric Birdie: I'm glad you think so! <3

Shadow: A glint in the hatching caverns draws your eyes to the side. What's that? Is there something metallic in this egg? Maybe...

Answers noted and points awarded!

Tiiyn:
No worries! Your points have been awarded and you're quite close to hatching! Then again, hatching proves to be a tricky thing. ;)

Ah - I think I'm confused by there being "stage 0" - maybe ... um, might I suggest renaming them to "search" "egg" "hatchling" and "beyond"? Just saying, I'm very confused by the way we have a 'get an egg' but also a 'stage zero'.

STAGE 1 Valroth

Your dragon may have grown, but you're still part of the Weyr! Which task do you excel at?:

Cleaning the reflective mirrors in the Hatching Cave.

Though I'm not certain I'd be doing any of the others, I'd like to make sure that every hatchling and egg gets their chance to warm up. Keeping the egg area clean, free of sharp eggshell, and combing the sands for anything untoward would be a good activity.

Monday's LiveJournal community post is up, and the questions ready! You can find them at: http://community.livejournal.com/ywiaw/2637.html

You may choose to answer the questions which apply to you on the community, or in this thread. However, you may only claim an egg from the LJ community on the LJ community. If you'd like another egg this week, please fill out the egg-form on the LJ post!

Again, the link is http://community.livejournal.com/ywiaw/2637.html, and questions may be answered here, or on the LJ post itself.

You were both quick! And I love the current voice for your new egg, Dray. XD In my head I see this wizened, battle scarred person creeping along the wall, rogue-like. My mental images keep me amused, I admit.

Mua ha ha, I love how mental images can be so striking and different between people. :3 Hopefully I'll get a chance to expand upon the character via hints and stuff, later. ^_^ That's part of the fun!

(I should switch gears with Swath to reflect his personality rather than the rider's, too. >.> >:3)

Heh, reflecting the personality of the dragon would be lovely.

When there are obvious personality traits being given by you guys, it makes it easier to evolve them more quickly. Every egg will hatch, but a little humph to an answer can help!

i had answered the last=week questions before, on the first page. :x i r so easily confused. lessee if i can figure it out this week.

name and email: nessi / dada.siegt@gmail
STAGE 0: Answer these questions if you already have an egg.

[b\Your favorite treat, when you have to choose, is:[/b]
Something sweet, like bubbly pies.
Something tart, like at a Gather.
Something salty.
Something warm to drink, like klah.
Meat. Meat meat meat meat meat. though i regularly crave and enjoy all the things on that list, it's meat that really does it for me. as raw and rare as possible. :3 nummeh
When you want to get out of something, be they chores or classes, you:
Attempt to delegate responsibility to another person.
Attempt to bribe and lure someone else into taking your place.
Switch places with another person, if you can. there are some chores people hate that i almost enjoy sometimes, so if someone would rather do my despised chore of sweepiing or some such, instead of peel potatoes, hten by all means, i'll switch with them. :D
Tell yourself to buck up and get the sharding thing over with.
Complain to someone else, but do what you're supposed to anyway.

3/3 Eggs Taken this week!

To claim a Stage 0 Dragon Egg this week, any prior eggs you have must have already hatched. If you have no prior eggs, or all your eggs have hatched, fill out the following form and it's attached two questions:

Your Name:
Email (for contact purposes):
Egg Question 1:
You are asked to line up with the other children and young adults of Candidate age (11-28). While in line, you:
Wonder why, exactly, you have to do this.
Are glad to have gotten time off from chores.
Try to correct your posture and stare straight ahead, awaiting inspection.
Look around nervously and try to half-hide behind your friend.
Laugh and joke about what else is going on in the courtyard with the person next to you.

Egg Question 2:
A blue dragon is standing in the courtyard, his rider nowhere in sight. You hear a voice in your head say, "That one," and you:
Immediately turn around to figure out who was talking.
Figure your imagination has gotten the better of you yet again.
Wonder why you thought, "That one."
Wonder where the dragonrider has gone.
Crouch suspiciously against the wall, figuring someone has figured out you ate the last tart on the table this morning.

---

STAGE 0: Answer these if you have an egg already.

You consider the best piece of advice to have been given to you as a candidate to date as being:
Watch out for those sexually charged situations.
You'll be working your tailbone off, which is just as well, if I've anything to say about it.
The anticipation is what will kill you.
Don't worry - you'll Impress.
Make sure you know what your fallback plan is.

Who do you avoid in the Weyr?:
The Headwoman.
The Headcook.
Your fellow Candidates.
The Weyrlingmaster.
No one.

STAGE 1: Answer this if your egg has hatched.

Your dragonet is beginning to panic, because you:
Are indulging in a strong emotional or physical state not induced by your love for your dragon.
Are ill, and your reassurances aren't working.
Have left the barracks to eat, and they cannot follow you.
Are suffering from absolutely terrifying nightmares.
Are paying attention to another hatchling whose rider has asked for your help.

STAGE 2: Answer this if your hatchling has grown into a Weyrling!

For your dragon, aerial drills are:
Invigorating.
A great way to show off.
A taste of freedom.
Exciting.
Liberating.

---

FURTHER NOTE:

DNS: You notice your egg move, and then with a thrust and push, YWIAW's first green falls onto the sands. She creels in hunger, then marches up to you with a lack of nonsense and states, You're mine. The most intensely pleasurable sensations flow through your veins, thick and hot, leaving you wondering and blissfully happy through and through.

More than one, it seems.

You might want to avoid the higher ups, but as you watch your egg hatch, and learn exactly why you thought that advice about sexuality was good - ye gods, how can anybody be less than pleased when Impressing? - you realize you're always going to have the potential to be part of that structure of authority.

Image --> Image

Granted, as your little brown trundles over to you, what part you choose to play is by your hand and your hand alone. Just please feed me, when you can stand without throbbing down here, he pleads, nosing you in the crotch. He is, after all, only about that tall. So far!

Whoo! Rachael, you make me happy [inthepantscoughcough]. :D A green! The first green no less. :D MY favorite canon color AND all that AND a bag of potato chips! Winsauce~

Also, question- I've been haphazardly treating the "character" impressing this one as a non-character/myself in some ways. I feel as if this is a dumb question or an obvious one, but I'm not sure of the answer, so... Are we assuming the guises of various cahracters, when answering these questions? so if i went for another egg, i'd be another character? also, since my dragon hatched this round, do i wait for the next week to do the stage1 questions?

ahem.

The little green says her name is Notarith, and I take her off to the side to feed her, reveling in these most intense and pleasurable sensations. Is having a dragon always like this? Because I could really get used to it. ;D

DNS: You can answer this week's Stage 1 question, because while I didn't reply yesterday, you "grew" yesterday.

As for the idea of a persona behind the answers to questions - I'd encourage you to think in terms of the personas, or ever personalities of the dragon that you'd like. I would say, think of each new egg as an opportunity to answer as a new "persona" or "personality." I say personality, because if and when you reach past Stage 3, you may or may not care to think of the dragon in relation to only one person - and at that point, you may end up simply being DNS with the three roving mage dragons of emerald, orange, and chartreuse.

Each new egg is a clean slate. You can attempt to keep the same sort of character in answering questions for all eggs you get, or you can change that. It's certainly up to you!

[Also: Your happy pants will surely dance~ When on the Sands at the Hatching Weyr!]

Stage 0:
You consider the best piece of advice to have been given to you as a candidate to date as being:
Don't worry - you'll Impress. It helps me worry a bit less. I honestly don't care what or who I impress- just as long as its a dragon.

Who do you avoid in the Weyr?:
The Headwoman. What are the chances of me saying something stupid and getting kicked out before I even have a CHANCE to impress? Pretty high, if you ask me. Or anyone that knows me. I just cannot keep my mouth shut.

Stage 2: Trillianth
For your dragon, aerial drills are:
A taste of freedom. Being a gold, Trillianth is pretty busy with.. everything really. Everyon wants to pamper her, including myself, and when we are in the air- its really a chance for her to get away from it all.

I hope I'm in time to steal another eggy. :)

Egg Question 1:
You are asked to line up with the other children and young adults of Candidate age (11-2Cool. While in line, you:
Try to correct your posture and stare straight ahead, awaiting inspection.

Egg Question 2:
A blue dragon is standing in the courtyard, his rider nowhere in sight. You:
Wonder why you thought, "That one." I mean, I do have a name, ya know!

----------------------------------------------------------
Stage 2: Rinareth

For your dragon, aerial drills are:
Invigorating. Nothing like the feel of the wind whipping around you while you soar through the skies. Rin seems to stick to the drills to the letter, but adds a passion that makes him look absolutely fluid in the air. Sometimes he looks a bit awkward, but hey, we're still learning. :)

Valroth's STAGE 1 question for today!

Your dragonet is beginning to panic, because you:

Are paying attention to another hatchling whose rider has asked for your help.

And I'm going to have to remind Valroth that it's going to be our duty some day to protect hatchlings like this one as well as all manner of other people. We're important, and important dragons and riders have to show they respect the attention they get! Besides, after I'm done with the hatchling while her rider had to make an appearance at the Weyrwoman's office, we'll be heading down to the lake to start learning how to fish!

STAGE 0:

You consider the best piece of advice to have been given to you as a candidate to date as being:
The anticipation is what will kill you.
(Does the sex count? Holy burning fires of my moms' ass, I haven't come across as many randy humans as I have since I was dropped off into this hole--I mean, extinct volcano!)

Seriously though? I don't know if I ought to be here this long. I'm dying already. I die every time I have to skip out to visit home to make sure my protectorate isn't, you know, dead. My, um, what? Believers? Followers? My little henchmen that run around and do that silly thing called 'shuffling off this mortal coil' are going and getting themselves killed or worse -- getting converted to the darker side of life. Hmph.

Who do you avoid in the Weyr?:
The Headwoman.
Just because I'm young-looking and female doesn't mean I'm going to sit down and stir your pot and tend your little squalling brats, my dear. I was out dispersing vileness before your grandmother squeezed your mam out her -- ahem.

I'm just fine with everybody else. It hard not to but heads on occasion with rams-horns like these, heh.

STAGE 1:

Your dragonet is beginning to panic, because you:
Are ill, and your reassurances aren't working.
~If you die then I die, so hold it together you little wench!~ I don't think that Swath would be bothered by anything other than the thought of his own life or death hinging on trusting another who he feels is weak; he's being such a little bitch to break! >:I

Dracleia:

A shiver runs down your spine. This egg is yours - you know it!

Image

Your answers have been noted, and points awarded. No one grows today!

Shard:

Points noted and awarded! Let's hope Valroth comes around, particularly in time to enjoy the fishing!

Dray:

We're not sure if your patience has paid off, or due to your antici.....

...

;o;';.,,,

ksafjfdjakk..asdfa...---

-pation, you've managed to call your dragon right out of their shell. With a shriek and a heart-rending cry, a glistening little green tumbles free of her encasing and looks around. What the Sharding --- Hey! Hey, I hate to interrupt your internal monologue, and that is a cool word, it's hot in here. Wait, there was something I was thinking of. Oh yes! BAM! She meets your eyes, and you're literally helpless in the face of waves of shattering pleasure and unification. You're mine, the smug dragonet hums.

Image --> Image

What's this little girl's name?

You'd hope there would be some respite, but then you notice Swath has, ahem, grown. And he's not above making it obvious to you, either. Is it your imagination, or has he gotten darker?

He's officially a weyrling now!
