"You Walk Into A Weyr" (Inspired by Dray!)

Kinda confused: the questions all look like ones I've already answered? If I have an egg >_< which one is left to answer? Or is it just confusing me that the 'search line' is for us who already do have one?

Durr. What it really means is I need to get more Stage 0 questions, so that when questions recycle, they're not repeating too soon for you folks.
If you'd like, to avoid feeling like it's too repetitive this week, you can answer any of the two questions from here that are new to you. And then I'll get cracking on more Stage 0 Questions, and setting up YWIAW so the egg forms have the same two questions, either as the other Stage 0 questions, or two permanent questions of their own.
What would you suggest, Shard? Or any of you folk?

I find that setting up a permanent 'sign-up-for-an-egg' question is easiest for people, and helps to define the personality of the dragon-owner (whether it's a character or directly for the player herself!). Pushing extra sign-up-for-an-egg questions into the already-have-an-egg area will help up total questions there. :) It's just a matter of deciding what questions to keep for sign-up portion! I'd say anything to do with Search would do well there.
I'm with Dray, have a more limited and static section of "get the egg" questions, and then vary a bit more with the stages.
I've answered all the stage 0 questions, to my knowledge, already. Apparently my candidate is all over the place because I don't have a hatchling yet lol.
Oop wait, I think this one's new to me:
You are asked to line up with the other children and young adults of Candidate age (11-28). While in line, you:
Try to correct your posture and stare straight ahead, awaiting inspection.
While I'd like to talk a little, this is a serious moment. One which many folks might miss in their flakey behavior. I wouldn't shut anyone up from making light or telling jokes or whatnot, but I certainly know what's going on here, and I want to take it all in as much as I can.

Unless I'm mistaken, she's referring to questions for the people who *have* an egg, and are trying to make it hatch.
I would agree, more questions would be good... 'else people are going to see "oh, that answer and that answer = X"... and then either choose them cause they want that colour, or avoid them cause they don't... y'know?
Um. Question suggestions... Since it's pre-hatching (even if they have eggs) I would classify them as candidates... so a few suggestions:
- How people view their candidate rooms... Perhaps they don't touch it, perhaps they make it super interesting (pictures everywhere, etc), perhaps they avoid the room wherever they can...
- What do they choose to eat when given the chance...
- What do they do with chores... do them properly avoid at all costs, etc...
I will try and come up with a few more later.

Thanks you guys! Yes; I think I'll keep the two "being searched" questions to the "Get an Egg" portion, and come up with a greater variety for the "I have an egg" section.
Ironically, Shard, answering that question has now, indeed, made your egg hatch! (You were close in several color categories, as it were.)
Your egg cracks, almost splitting straight down the center!
-->
A bronze! What is his name? (This also means the first egg given out hatched bronze, which I think is amusing, and that this is the first bronze of YWIAW.)
And thank you Tiiyn! Those are great suggestions, and I'll probably use some of them.
Which comes to another question - would anyone like to be rewarded by coming up with questions for Stages 0-3, much like Dray did when looking for more questions for the Didra Gons? I implore thee, Nexii!

cool a Bronze
now I'll start thinking about those 'post hatching' questions...

Shard is so a Bronze-rider. XDD
I don't know about rewards... I don't really care what colour I get right now, I just want to be surprised! :)
For questions, though, how about one regarding which candidate-chores you like best? (working w/ runner beasts, in the lower caverns, passing firestone on to weyrlings, etc?)
How about 'what's your favorite part of the Weyr?'
and 'Who do you socialize with the most in the Weyr?'
Things like that? X3

Wednesday Eggs and Questions!
0/3 Eggs Available this week!
All gone!
To claim a Stage 0 Dragon Egg this week, any prior eggs you have must have already hatched. If you have no prior eggs, or all your eggs have hatched, fill out the following form and it's attached two questions:
Your Name:
Email (for contact purposes):
Egg Question 1:
You are asked to line up with the other children and young adults of Candidate age (11-28). While in line, you:
Wonder why, exactly, you have to do this.
Are glad to have gotten time off from chores.
Try to correct your posture and stare straight ahead, awaiting inspection.
Look around nervously and try to half-hide behind your friend.
Laugh and joke about what else is going on in the courtyard with the person next to you.
Egg Question 2:
A blue dragon is standing in the courtyard, his rider nowhere in sight. You hear a voice in your head say, "That one," and you:
Immediately turn around to figure out who was talking.
Figure your imagination has gotten the better of you yet again.
Wonder why you thought, "That one."
Wonder where the dragonrider has gone.
Crouch suspiciously against the wall, figuring someone has figured out you ate the last tart on the table this morning.
STAGE 0
Where do you spend most your free time in the Weyr?:
Hanging out with the friend's I've made in the Candidate's Barracks.
Hanging out with my long-time friends in our nooks and crannies around the Weyr.
Exploring the tunnels and caves in the Weyr proper.
Observing the dragons and their riders in their daily activities.
Reading, either to catch up on lessons or because something you heard triggered a memory of something else you've read before.
Your bunk in the candidate barracks is, at a glance:
Neat.
Colorful.
Messy.
Half-made.
Not there.
STAGE 1
Your dragon may have grown, but you're still part of the Weyr! Which task do you excel at?:
Hunting tunnelsnakes.
Casting iron.
Watching the herds.
Cleaning latrines.
Cleaning the reflective mirrors in the Hatching Cave.
All gone!

Where do you spend most your free time in the Weyr?:
Exploring the tunnels and caves in the Weyr proper. It's a tossup between this, reading, and watching the other dragon-riders. I mean, I know that once my egg hatches I'm not going to really have time to memorize this huge shardin' place, you know? I'd like to know what halls I have to run down in the dark of night in case my bond's dying of hunger!
...Totally nothing to do with wanting to know who is where and how to sneak around. Totally. >.>
Your bunk in the candidate barracks is, at a glance:
Half-made. I try to keep things clean but they work us like dogs! I half think that Candidates get searched out to do their drudge work for them! Jerks!

Grouped into the rest of the eggs, this one seems to wink - though for goodness sakes that must be the shadow's playing with your eyes!

Your answers have been noted, and points duly awarded!
Dray:
Oh! My goodness! While you were looking across at Shard, someone has walked straight into you!
-->
Pay attention to me, pay attention to me! What's this beautiful little bronze's name?

STAGE 0
Where do you spend most your free time in the Weyr?:
Exploring the tunnels and caves in the Weyr proper. There's always so much in the depths of a weyr that few others know about... might as well make myself one of those rare people! Who knows, there might be something fascinating in there.
Your bunk in the candidate barracks is, at a glance:
Half-made. I don't have the time or patience to make it completely all the time. After all, what with everything I'm doing - studying, exploring, getting to know people... there's so much more exciting things to do than simply making a bed.
STAGE 1: Geddeth
Your dragon may have grown, but you're still part of the Weyr! Which task do you excel at?:
Hunting tunnelsnakes. There's nothing like the hunting and stalking of dangerous prey to keep the edge on a person. That sort of edge can keep you alive in the long run, especially when dealing with Thread. That, and it keeps the danger to weyrbrats at a managable level -- you can't keep them out of the tunnels, so might as well keep the tunnelsnakes under control.

STAGE 0
Where do you spend most your free time in the Weyr?:
Observing the dragons and their riders in their daily activities.
During my free time when I don't have any Candidate Chores or Lessons, I always try to observe the dragons and their riders in their daily activities. At times I try to look for the dragon that had actually pointed me out to his rider. Sometimes, I ask if the riders will let me help in oiling or bathing their dragon. I love spending time with the dragons which is why I always anticipate whenever I have my next free time. ^_^
Your bunk in the candidate barracks is, at a glance:
Neat.
Despite it being small, I am proud to say that I have kept my bunk neat and clean. I always make it up after I wake up in the morning. I change the sheets every sevenday. And I sweep the floor everyday even under the bed whenever I get the chance.

Exploring the tunnels and caves in the Weyr proper. Since I've recently become such a socialite, I'd probably want to make friends and hang out with them, but then I'd probably drag them with me to explore the tunnels...because exploring tunnels is just best...
Your bunk in the candidate barracks is, at a glance:
Half-made. Whenever I wash my sheets I always make up the bed...but sleeping in it requires me to un-tuck one side...which I never seem to tuck in again until after I've washed the sheets again. Really though, who has time to make the bed? There are much more important and interesting things to do with your life...

For Trillianth. [So there is no confusion]
Your dragon may have grown, but you're still part of the Weyr! Which task do you excel at?:
Cleaning the reflective mirrors in the Hatching Cave. Its a pretty simple job, yes, but lots of people don't seem to do it just right. You have to polish just the right amount of times, and make sure there is no sand left on the rags. Scratching mirrors simply wont do! Besides, Trillianth loves to look at her reflection for hours when she manages to follow me there.

StarFyre: Your egg looks tickled, but it's not quite ready to hatch yet. As for Geddeth, he's looking like a fine young blue! He's not yet half grown, however.
Shard: Valroth it is!
Houka Ryuu: Hmm, that's odd. I didn't think your egg looked marbled--- Wait a minute. Your egg is hatching!
-->
I do believe it will take getting used to, this walking business. A brown dragonet! What's his name?
Xalia: Your answers have been noted, and points awarded. You're close to hatching two different colors, just not over the line yet!
Eccentric Birdie: You must have been feeding Trillianth some fine herdbeast, because she's growing fastest out of her clutch! Then again, maybe that's a gold thing. ;D
-->
Trillianth is now officially a weyrling (Stage 2). Now she'll be able to fly, and soon, fight alongside any other queens to ensure Pern stays safe from Thread! She has darkened one shade of gold.

Your dragon may have grown, but you're still part of the Weyr! Which task do you excel at?:
Watching the herds.
I dont excel at it, exactly, but I'm not too bad at it. As long as nothing wanders off, I'm doing my job right! And Arelenth likes chasing them if they do wander off - and if they don't - but she usually stops if they seem to be getting frenzied. My not-so-little hatchling can't wait until she can finally hunt them herself.
