Crafts! I myself was interested in the zen garden, but Noogie insisted on macaroni. I thought he'd make the usual happy face on paper...
It was silly of me to turn my back on him for just a second, even to get a glass of water. When I came back, pieces of macaroni were glued all over the room... On the walls, all the furnature... As if that wasn't enough, he was trying to eat the glue!

:O That's one fancy garden, Starfyre! No evolution for Kamaeli today... but now they have a place to contemplate (or look at the pretty-shinies, at least! XD)

Kayla, that's adorable... and Kiryu is very close to evolving! Perhaps on Monday! :D

No evolution for Nate today, Kitsuneko, but I want in on that game... it sounds fun! XD

Shard, Mookey's the best EVAR. XDDD *highly amused!* No evolution today! He's really racking up the points though... it's gonna be a real neck-and-neck when he finally does pop!

Surprisingly, no evolution, Xalia! X3 Sounds like he's having fun at the very least!

XD Squish is so badass, JKat. No evolution today, of course; now that he's a Flarefy he's going to take 5 tics in one element to evolve... but oh, it's gonna be awesome! >:333

^^ This is fun *grins* I stole the concept of the stream and pond and fish from the garden my grandmother used to have at her old house. It wrapped around the back half of the house, and she had a bunch of really pretty koi in it that grew to be around a foot and a half long. None of the shiny-scales, though... those are really expensive from what I recall, and I've only seen them twice in my life.

Now, of course, she has a large waterfall spilling into a pond, and her fish from New Jersey are still with her, plus a few more since she has more room now.

That sounds pretty sweet! :D I'd love to have one of those... so peaceful.

On a side note, I'm going through and making all of the egg and baby images smaller (since they wound up being bigger than I meant them to -- I'm only just now getting around to fixing that.) If some images seem broken or tiny, it's just me a) fixing the images and haven't gotten around to 'em yet and b) making them the proper size. X3

X3 Feel free to speculate! I would love to see people trying to figure out which is which in public. Every element is only used once for almost all questions (unless the question is a morality check -- which doesn't happen until you get into the higher tiers -- and then each question uses ALL of the elements once.) So there are no questions where, say, Fire is an option twice and Air is an option three times. :3 If that helps!

But, obviously, since there aren't nine options for every question, the options span more than one element. Some of the options for the questions are pretty obvious but I don't have /any/ idea what the answers to today's question stood for... :\ (Hence probably why I didn't end up with an evolution...though the answer I gave was the most appropriate for the personality Maki's developing...)

So, answering one question can give us ticks in more than one element, yes?

You don't have to speculate or guess correctly... the only reason that I'm suggesting it is that I'll eventually be re-using questions, I figured that if people want to make guesses out loud, they might accumulate and then people in the future can sift through speculations before making their own guesses. :D Kind of like at Psypets, where when your psypet gains a level, you're asked a question and people have posted speculation about it on the game's forums.

Anyways, There's always the next few weeks to answer questions. ^_^ Didra Gons is a slow moving game, but I plan on keeping it going for just about evar... I keep thinking of Myrror's EverRealm and going "dayum, I want this to last as long as that!" *cackle*

I'd love to start speculating (and believe me, I already have, privately) but since we only have /one/ evolution so far it's kinda hard to make too many guesses. So far we only know the following for certain:

Red gives a tick for Fire
An Action gives a tick for Fire
A Camping Set gives a tick for Fire

Now, I would assume that Blue would be Water, Green Flora, An Aquarium would be Water, etc... but since we don't have any evolutions that reflect that it's hard to say for sure...

And an Action obviously gives ticks in other elements as well which we don't have any evidence of...so it's hard to speculate a lot... Does anyone else have ideas?

I feel like this should be one of those logic problems where you get a bunch of statements about a group of people and you have to figure out who did what with whom... XD Except we don't have all the statements yet...

And one of the problems that might occur is where I'll think that a certain element is pertinent to a certain answer, but it might not seem that way for others. ^^; I guess this game is still in beta for that reason!

Kurokongouseki has had a definite interest in paper since I brought him home, most likely since that is my own medium of choice. Frustrated at the scribbles he first tried as an artistic outlet, he tried experimenting with cutting the paper--with safety scissors, of course--and then folding it. While Kuro's first attempts looked more like weird snakes (or perhaps he was using my creatures for reference? ) the house was soon filled with little paper cranes, and cats, and winged snakes, and more cranes...

..he went through three reams of paper. Now I have to go buy more, and Kuro's gonna get some of that special colored paper to work with.

Well, exactly... like for example, today's question... for crafts I would have had a 'woodshop' project of some sort as an option (which would have been my answer). I /think/ my guy was leaning toward the rock persuasion since I've been choosing 'tough' answers for him. But there was no 'tough' answer today, so I chose the answer that seemed to fit in with 'rock'...what is clay made of? But maybe I'm wrong on the rock persuasion or maybe the 'tough' answer was something else?

Will we ever find out for certain what the questions mean or are we just left to speculate forever? >.>

Never too late to answer, Myrror, so long as you haven't already answered once for this week! (And no evolution for Kuro today... keep it up though!)

Xalia, speculations won't be answered for a while, at least not until most of the generation 1, Tier1 evolutions have happened. I might hold an event where if you guess the correct element for an answer, you'll get a prize or something, though! X3 (And I can tell you that while clay comes from rock, there's some other elements involved in its start-to-finish process! >:D)

After that last contemplative graveyard excursion, I suppose I'm not to be surprised that Kaonashi set up a zen garden in one corner of the Ranch. Plus, hey, desert locale. He had rocks and sand in abundance to work with! And I must admit, it's absolutely adorable watching him work the sand-rake with his stubby paws as he goes 'round and 'round, trawling those water-patterns into the sand!

Thankfully the other DOOMers have taken to heart my threat that anyone who disrupts my little baby's garden will be disciplined with extreme prejudice. >:| Even better are those of calm personality who have come to appreciate meditating upon his work, themselves!

Having acquired another Didra Gon, spending quality time with each has proved quite a task for each wanted different things at the same time. Take for example when we had decided to spend some quality time during Craft Time. Midori proudly displays A Zen Garden that he has made. Ryoushi, being the baby of the family, have chosen to blow Lots and lots of bubbles. And of course, not knowing any better, Ryoushi decides to chase the bubbles around spilling the soapy water everywhere and knocking down a few of my furniture. Midori was quick to save his Zen Garden but my floor, my chairs... I need to give Ryoushi some ground rules about not running inside the house and making sure to be careful of the furnitures.

Man, Houka, Midori's about the most well-rounded baby I've ever seen. X3 He might pop next week, but then again from the way that he's been growing, I think it's probably going to be a while.

:3 Ryoushi's kind of cute.

And Mookey is definitely my favorite. XD Mmm, pasta-enclosures! (There needs to be a special spaghetti element for him... hah hah maybe one day I'll make a 'food' element, whenever these guys are old enough to start breeding and really influencing the baby-types!)

That's fine, I don't mind waiting to find out so long as I know I eventually /will/ find out. This guess work has been driving me batty though. I keep thinking this is a puzzle I need to figure out but I don't have all the pieces and it's driving the logistic side of my brain a little haywire! XD

And yus...this I know...I took ceramics in high school after all...there's water to keep it soft and fire to well, fire it... XD But what else on that list would fit for rock? (No, I don't expect you to answer that...) Unless I was wrong in the direction I thought Maki was leaning... Hmm... Gah, there goes my brain again, trying to solve puzzles without all the pieces! XD Guess I just have to wait and see what happens Monday!

:D I keep thinking of it as a really big, extended easter hunt. With perks! (X3 Toying with the idea of allowing people who've evolved to higher tiers begin to suggest traits to customize their critter, if they're the first to have a pet evolve into it! >:3333)

There's another answer with rocks in, if you know what I mean! Hee hee hee!
(I'm having so much fun with this. XD)

(And I think that there's going to be a day in the next couple of weeks where a bunch of people's Didra Gons evolve at the same time... it's just been building and building and I'm really excited to see when it'll pop!)

The zen garden? Maki would /so/ never have made a zen garden...it's not physical enough for him... (and yeah, if he were a Pokemon, I'd be thinking fighting-type for him...which is how I've been answering the questions... XD )

Man, I bet you are having fun with this...I wish I'd thought up something like this...it must be a blast to be on the giving end of this!

And heh...Maki means "roll" and I chose it after one of the arts on my list in jujitsu...Makikomi...so yeah...fighter didra gon! XD
