Oh, um.. I have a question. It's sorta complicated. <.<; For the white clutch, there are two that I absolutely -adore- (which wouldn't otherwise be a problem 'cause I could just make you pick for me XD;), but one would be -perfect- for one candidate, and the other wouldn't really fit in with the story. But there's another candidate that the second chioce would fit with quite well - could I possibly send in two candis and have you pick which one sponsors? x.x;; Totally don't intend to take two hatchlings, but I don't want to mis-match dragon for story, either. *fallover*

If you send in a story and somebody else hasn't sent in a story who -also- wants the same dragon, then chances are that you'll get the baby without a contest.

I think Shard has a story in for the white clutch already, but I don't have her application on me right now (yay, work-computer. XD) If she's trying out for one of the same ones as you, then that could help to narrow down your choices. :P

So yeah, may the best one win the most appropriate one lol!! The overlaps in personality and powers are interesting, so how they each might interact with the characters is always fun to wonder about.

The red clutch is now full. If you navigate to the records page, you will be able to find a couple of previews for adult images. :) I like to leave little easter eggs like that lying around.

Would you guys like me to hatch the clutch early, or wait until the 15th? Earlier hatched clutches mean a new clutch on the sands... er, in the lavapit, I guess, but holding to the deadline will allow people who want to 'upgrade' their story some extra time.

It's up to you! :D

Oh wow. x.x That's a tough question. *flail* Well, I'd say now, but that's only 'cause I've really got so much story to write in order to get to the point where my char goes to stand for the clutch (and a lack of inspiration to write x.x), that I doubt I'll be able to upgrade to story app. *fallover* (Plus, I really wanna see the adults. XD;)

I'd rather wait until the 15th. Not only because it gives me more time to fiddle with my story for this clutch but it would also give everyone some nice breathing time until the next is released.

quick question- can these guys still bond? I know the old site always had a small notation about how each clutch could bond but it wasn't necessary. It's not there anymore and I just want to make sure!
If not, my story's sorta bunk.

With bonding, do whatever works best for the story... by this point, the mutts are such a mish-mash of their parents that just about anything is possible! If you require a prop to bond, the Whites have been churning out emergency bonding scrolls that their Red cousins have access to. You could easily write that the dragon used a magic bonding scroll, and with a flash of light, the two were joined at the mind!

...So I was going through the red pickup page and assigning people to dragons, when I realized that all of the people who sent me the -high- ranking applications asked for the lowest 'ranked' dragons.

XD Now there are two people who sent low ranking applications, and two high-ranking dragonets left.

I'm tempted to slap the mismatched ones together (even though you low-ranking apps won't get what you originally wanted), since it would be a shame to have the high rankers 'put to sleep'.

Suggestions? Should I pair the high ranking dragons to the low ranking apps even though that's against the rules, or 'between' the high rankers and tell the low-ranking apps 'sorry about your luck'?

It's a shame to kill off the high-rankers. I'd let the low-ranked apps have them as a bit of a treat. XD Not to say you should do this every time... but hey, it seemed to work out this time!

I would try pairing whatever is most appropriate. I don't know what your criteria are for what YOU consider 'high ranking' because honestly most of the time I do the same thing too: have a huge story page for a 'takes any appy' dragon

The ones I like most might not be the ones that someone else would have said 'omg that's so worth more' (not that they're worth more or less, just saying). Not that I applied for the red lol.

So wait, does this mean you still NEED two more appy's for the red clutch, or that they'll simply be mis-matched in the process?

Oh, that's a third option -- I could tell everyone which two dragons are left, and which two applicants got shafted, and then require two more applications of the appropriate rank. (One's a stats and one's a story.)

For this clutch, I ranked 'em based on the rarity of their colour combos showing up in my generator, mixed with a good old fashioned bit of 'what I like best ranks higher'. XD Guess it wasn't the same as what everybody else wanted!

So I could mismatch the dragons to people,
grave the dragonets and trash the mismatched apps or,
trash the mismatched apps and ask for two new ones. There's still 4 days until the due-date, after all!

Yeah, I seem to be guilty of usually picking the low ones myself. :x
I'd probably have picked the story one if it didn't have such a spawn of satan personality ,though.
It feels a little wrong to boot people that managed to get in early :/ How long would it take to make 2 more? maybe you could make 2 quickies for them and re-open the story slots till the 15th, I know a few people really wanted in and missed out on this clutch.

XD I hadn't even looked at his personality. He's a little d-bag.

I'd rather not change the clutch-size once it's up on the pickup page because it feels weird... and people might go "omfg now I want -that- one!!"
The BWR pickup pages have a 'what you see is what you get' sort of policy (which is why I ran the xeno-clutch up here instead. XD) so that people don't feel like they've been cheated.

Eta: Xalia, since you're one of the apps that kind of hangs in the balance, you (and Kitsuneko) have my ears. Would you rather upgrade? If you can give me a stats page or story, I would be willing to shift people around, depending on the quality of either. (For stats pages, more detailed exploration of appearance, background, etc. gets preference over a stats page that has copy-and-paste info, for example!)
