Would it be safe to guess that some may grow slightly slower than others? So if Aduzein grew up in the night, Hindar may find a burstling or two the next morning? That way it's only a few hours difference, and slightly easier to explain?

So, how fast are these guys growing up? It seems from what you've said about the others that they're taking about a day to grow...but since I'm sending Marco in next I want to make sure I get the growth right in my story so Iro doesn't have adults while Marco's still looking for burstlings... :\

I'm going to go ahead and send Marco sans extra storyness though. Not much I can do with him until Iro's two grow up... And man, every male in that group is going to have to watch what they say to Iro now! XD And Risi better hope Miyaki decides to leave Star City before Iro gets back...

Ligholax surprised all three hunters when it leapt from his hiding place, ambushing Butulos and tangling with its sister, hissing high-pitched outrage. ~Abomination!~ it cried, ~Neptuss is mine!~

At least the burstling didn't seem to have deadly intent -- though the two tangled and posed and thrashed, neither went for the killing blow. Xenodragons only sacrificed themselves, after all, if it was for the greater good of the hive.

Only a few minutes after the hunter awoke, two creatures slithered into view. It was hard to miss Rofutoc; the little drone was a muted rainbow of colours, but something belied her innocent exterior. Her link was felt almost immediately between Aduzein and Hindar. If anybody screamed 'trickster', it was this little one.

A second burstling, this one more hesitant than the last, slithered her way into their hearts -- Nezolur was somewhat of a rarity, with white the white flesh of a sport. She would certainly break a lot of preconceptions about xenodragons... if Hindar had any to begin with!

Perhaps it was Kedok's search, his intentions different from the rest. Perhaps it was his xenomorphic nature. Whatever it was, his demeanor and appearance attracted a lot of attention.

First, Mussadin found Kedok when the humanoid managed to lose himself beyond the rocky pit within which the xenodragons had been hatched. Even if Kedok had been happy with a single burstling, Tonnanir and Nijosys were quick to latch on as well. They might not be the most friendly creatures in the world, but these three burstlings looked up to Kedok the same way that Kedok would adopt a queen... Well, maybe Tonnanir might attempt to reverse the situation. At least the drones were faithful to a fault!
