They are called the Sevar Skai,and this is just one of their breeds (Breed 1). All dragons will be this same grey- the wings and tail will change. So if anyone wants one- just drop a line. And if you have any ideas for wing designs, post a pic too.

Development: All Sevar Skai breeds are born in soft skinned eggs. When the young hatch, they will devour whatever is left of their egg, and then they enter the care of their mothers- where they will remain until they become sexually active. Once the young Sevar Skai is old enough to begin breeding, it will leave its family to start its own den and partake in the Sevar Skai breeding programs. Most Sevar Skai breeds enter into the equivalent of heats nearly 12 times an SFP (or six times a standard year). Luckily for the female Sevar Skai, clutches are only successful 15% of the time.

Breeding Compatibility: Sevar Skai are an exceptionally compatible species- as far as anyone knows, they can produce viable offspring with any species that they are physically compatible with.
Breeding Notes: Though the Sevar Skai can breed with nearly any species- they are almost universally interested in their cultural breeding programs. If a Sevar Skai is mating with creatures outside of its own breed, this generally means that a program is working towards a new breed type. Sevar Skai breeding outside of the programs are usually individuals that have exited Sevar Skai society entirely. Some pseudo-Skai breeds have come from just such situations.

History: Very little is known about the past of the Sevar Skai. Most of their relatively large population resides on the space station that the species apparently built for themselves deep in their unrecorded or secreted past. The location and even the name of their homeworld is unknown. The numbering system that they use to identify their breeds has proven true, as the Sevar Skai Breed 1 is in fact the genetic ancestor of the other Skai breeds. Whether or not this breed was the original, natural species is unknown, however.
Culture: As far as anyone can make out, the only real culture that the Sevar Skai have is centered around their breeding programs. They are all interested in the keeping of their breed lines, or in the creation of new breeds, and the vast majority of them partake in the programs happily. Currently, the programs appear to serve no real purpose- as the older Sevar Skai breeds do just as well as the newer ones, but it has been suggested that perhaps the programs started around the time that the Sevar Skai left their homeworld. Whether it had any religious significance or anything akin to this is lost to time... and the hidden records of the Skai past.
The breeding programs, and the Skai government is run by the Council of Breeds- which contains representatives from all the registered Sevar Skai breeds. Council members cycle in and out quickly- with terms of about two years; they are generally voted in by the elders of the breed. Members can be of any age- after they have become part of the breeding programs. The Council decides the laws and conduct the court system of the Sevar Skai space station, and it is they who decide whether new breeds are to be created and by which bloodlines.
The Sevar Skai, aside from being rather particular about who they breed with, are one of the most accepting species groups. They judge by individuals, not the species, and not by appearance, and it is only because of their secretive ways that the Sevar Skai have managed to save themselves from a somewhat naive way of life. Their space station is open to those who can find it, but those Sevar Skai that go out into the universe do not tell of where it is, or how it can be found.
Life on the Sevar Skai space station is fairly comfortable to most people who find their way there. The Skai love new ideas, and their are known for their ability to learn new languages quickly. Curious and talkative, Sevar Skai like to mix their own customs with those of oursiders that come into their community. They do not, however, approve of body ornamentation- they do not wear clothes or jewelery, and they never have tattoos. The one thing that the Sevar Skai do not change in favor of any foreign custom is their love for their natural form- they see their own bodies as works of art, and adding to it is a sort of profanity. When they meet others with such additions, they feel deep pity for the creature- as it is a shamed practice among their own, and a symbol of low self-confidence.
Another custom that has been unchanging despite the Skai's extremely fluid culture is their idea of love. While they are a promiscuous species as a whole, sexual relations are not considered to be a part of love. Sevar Skai will often take on partners from breeds or species or genders that they will never breed with, but these partners will live and remain together for their entire lives. These relationships form the center of Skai families, rather than the mother-father dynamics that create families elsewhere.

Average Height of Adults: 2.7 Meters (9 Feet)
Coloration: All members of Breed 1 have grey fur, but their wing membranes can be any number of colors or sport nearly any pattern. Their tail feathers usually match the colors of their wings, and the long horns running down their neck are usually a dark grey with lighter, still growing tips.
Physical Description: Breed 1 is quadruped breed, equipped with opposable thumbs on their forelimbs and hind legs, and a set of short, two-fingered wings- which, too small for flight in an atmosphere of Terran density, are thought to have once been used for mating rituals. Both females and males sport bright, patterned wing membranes, and the decorative feather ridge on their tails. The long, serrated horns that run down their necks may have been used for mating rituals as well, as Breed 1 is not known to use these horns as weapons, even when in a fight. They have long faces, framed by a pair of tall, sensitive ears, and centered by two, forward facing eyes.
Senses: Breed 1 has a acute sense of smell and very good hearing. They have fairly good night vision, but tend to be somewhat near sighted during the day.
Abilities: This breed has no natural abilities.
History: Breed 1 is believed to be the original Skai breed- perhaps the only Skai breed to be from the species' home planet. Despite their long standing existance, Breed 1 holds no extra sway over the rest of the Sevar Skai population.
