Random dragon art!

Being the lazy bum that I am, I haven't been doing art lately, but my renewal of interest in an old community, Draconic, has got me back into drawing.

I introduce you to Akaluan Kalua, Akala for short. She's a pretty little girl, isn't she? I thought I might as well share this with you guys, since it's dragon art. As is normal for me at this point, she was drawn on paper, then inked, colored, and shaded by mouse.

I'm thinking of adding a background, since the feathering of the mane means she can't go on a transparent background, but I'm not sure what scenery to put there.

Ooh, beautiful! Lovely coloring, I especially like the look of the point-markings.

I'm picturing a snowy mountain background, but not for any particular reason. *shrugs*

I love how the wings turned out. As for a background... how about the nightime sky with the stars and moon out?

*taps nose* There's always png format for transparency... but a background would probably be more snazzy! XD She's gorgeous, Starfyre! I love the colour combination.

Graeth: Holy wow, I need to start connecting the dots. You're the second person I know from somewhere else who's also on Draconic, and who I didn't realize was the same person even though the names are identical. >_< score one for inattention! I'm tempted to start running around screaming "Draconic peoples are stalking meeeeeeeee!"

Dray: Draconic is a community of, well, otherkin, to be honest. Dragonkin, actually.
