Seeing as there were only 9 candidates sent in, only nine have impressed so far. The remaining four will still be here, waiting for people to apply. If it takes too long I may just have them turn wild at the dragonry.

Yes, thats right! We haven't had a clutch yet, so these will be counted as wild parents, and have no lineage. They will also only come with the adult images, seeing as I don't have the hatchling image scanned or colored yet.

There will ONLY be thirteen given away, and I will not give more than one to one person. There will only be one of each color given away, and no more until I make another pure clutch. :3

But I'm honestly not asking much, just a simple stat sheet. No story, no in-depth look about how they think.. Just a name, age, etc.

Really the only reason I want a page is that I want my dragons to be paged before a year has passed. xD I think that if you already have a page up, it makes it easier to put them up.

Well anyway. Gogogo! :D I will have this up until I have atleast 13 candidates, one for each color. Candidates can be from anywhere, but Pernese probably wouldn't be too appropriate. xD

Well, I actually can't guarantee you will get the color you want, but it gives me an idea. :3 Just post when you have the page up, you probably have plenty of time ^^

There will only be ONE of every base color given away- FOR NOW. x3 There will be clutches and such later.

that would be great. ^^ Like I said, no rush, no deadline. I'm not just gonna shut it when I get 13 candidates but that means that some others may not get one, sadly. :x

However, there will be a clutch or chase soon after the giveaway, so theres no need to worry. :3 There will be more!

Yep non-humans are fine. :3 They just need to be able to be with the dragon in some way- in this case, either ride or run with them. :D

Totally sweet! They look GREAT!

Questions:

-- eggs? how long does it take for them to hatch? I know it says how many the queens lay, but like, what size are they, do the hatchlings bond at birth or are they aware in the egg, or do they wait a bit after they've been named or rested/eaten before they bond...

-- bonding? I know you don't want double bonding, but may they sponsor as well as bond a Siiyd, or does the sponsorship only work with one Siiyd and another species of dragon? Is the bond immediate/telepathic/empathic? (I'm assuming it is.)

-- mating? .... soooooo how soon can we send these bad boys out to breed?

And, what's your current take on halfbreeds or hybridizing?

-- this clutch? Are they considered wild/unrelated, or from a single pair?

And my last question, if it's possible to sponsor a Siiyd in addition to bonding one, could I send Iive back for the white-gold? That one intrigues me, as it combines the aspects of both the biggest and smallest, the most vain and confident and the smallest, fastest ones

And she's gorgeous, and she'd ... I dunno.... make a good mate for my orange brown?

Eggs: They normally bond at birth and have their own names at birth, that they tell their bonded. They can be given nicknames, though. x3 No name traditions, either. The eggs are about 1' 6'' long and the babies are ab out two foot when they are born, but they grow quickly. They aren't really aware inside the eggs but become very self aware at birth.

Bonding: Yes, the bond is immediate. As for the sponsoring and bonding.. yes the Siiyd may only bond once but they can sponsor as many as they can handle. :3

Mating: If you want to send them now, go ahead! :D I am looking forward to seeing them in breedings, especially hybridizations and such.

This clutch: Very wild and very unrelated. xD Thus, they can breed amongst themselves.

Last question: Yes they can bond to a siiyd and sponsor one, so go ahead and send her in again if you want. ;3 The sponsored one just wouldn't play a large part and be a little more detached and possibly want to live on their own. Though i'm sure you already knew that. xD

Now I have a question. If someone were to have two siiyd and want to breed them together would they have to send them to me for me to color, or would the people draw and color their own offspring? ^ ^; I'm still very new to dragoning, so.. yea.

Ooh yay

Expect a story update on that page then.

Generally speaking, when folks send their pairs to a dragonry, the person running that dragonry is going to be doing the offspring. Some have only one set of images, and older Pernese ones didn't recolor anything - just with their own set of 5 or 6 basic colors and that was that. In this day, depending on what the dragonry owner CAN do, they might hybridize, redraw, add or subtract features, or just use their own unique existing template.

Let's see:
-- Traditional (pernese) - one template, basic colors, no recolors, expects only traditional pernese participants
-- Semi-traditional (alskyran) - possibly multiple templates, more base colors, can accept Pernese and other 'generic' dragons
-- Hybridizing (star city, healing den, many individual dragonries) - accept nearly any pairing, draw specific offspring (in my case with the healing den) or have a single template for all offspring with custom colors (star city, et al), or have template which has interchangable extras such as crests, wing spars, etc (Ryslen)

What I'd usually expect is, if YOU are up to drawing the features, when they send you a pair that have features you haven't got on your template, make a new template. Or, add to your existing one - or, just say they're all gonna look YOUR way

Other folks have done 'toss up pairs' where they select breeding pairs and those who want to participate can draw and color their own, which are then given out by the one who selected the pairs. That's a little more complicated and less common but even i'm considering doing that shortly.
