Pernese Dragons + Firebirds

Post by DNS »

Two ideas, if anyone's interested.

First, I've been rereading my old pern books, and they've got me inspired to draw like.. two more pernese templates. One as whelan as I can get it, and one my own heavily stylized interpritation of pernese dragons (Think the face of my first ever pern template). Anyone potentially interested in that? I dunno what I'd do with it, per se. Maybe run a pernese clutch, but then again, I've got an almost pernese clutch running currently. :/ maybe do a few RP hatchings, which has been tickling my mind. i dunno.
that's tentative. i may not do it at all, i may do two more templates, i may do only one, etc. tentative.

Idea two was an idea I dreamed of, and recently got re-interested in thanks to a character of mine. Firebirds. pretty pheonixy birds, that come invarious colours and have different powers depending on the colour, usually elemental. They're not like dragons, though I hesitate to say that, becuase it's almost like saying they're not worth the same or dragons are better. :/ but it's more that.. i dunno. If your character has one of these firebirds, they can still bond a dragon, even though the firebird IS sentient and intelligent in their own right. because the bonds are too different?
What kind of features should such a creature have, if you are interested in it? and that is also tentative.

Oooh pretties.

I'd love both - pernese I'm still fond of getting, and I love what you've been doing with basic dragon stuff in poses and style.

Fire birds sound like you're going to have a blast coloring, and I cannot wait to see what they'd look like! :D

-claps- That's what I forgot-- pose suggestions. :D if anyone would like to see a pernese dragon in a certian pose. ^^ i have hell thinking of poses.

but thankyou very much. -clings and rolls on- I do the more interesting poses on the more simplistic dragons, becuase then it doesn't cover up as much.

and hee, i will. I'm thinking of doing peacock-feather like designs-- I'm sadistic, i think.

Ooh, pernese stuffs are always good.

Pose suggestion: Landing pose, facing forward--don't see that one too often...argh, I wish i had a drawing program here at school, I'll try and find a bird photo ref or something. <.<

ooh, cool pose. XP Especially since it'll largely be hit and miss-- not many quad animals go about landing. :3 then again, there are birds, and maybe references of animals jumping, just backwards that.. hee. :3 If you can find me that ref, i'll certainly try. it might make a good flit image, if nothing else. XP

thanks samber.
