Didn't you get the memo? All writers are supposed to be egos on legs, convinced their writing is absolutely the best in the world, and fie on everyone who says they have stuff to improve.

=P In other news, don't worry about it, Astra. Just breath, relax, and have fun. That's what writing is about, isn't it? Or at least the type of writing we practice here.

I had to read their stories! It burns, my precious, it burns!!

And now I have to go be nice to them and not try to claw their faces off for putting me through that torture. And I have to read six more stories for Wednesday, and not a single unique idea amongst the lot of them.

Reminds me of something we had to read for that class, where an author was being interviewed and was asked if he thought colleges were bad for authors (I think the exact question was something like, "Do you believe college stifles writers?") to which he responded, "I believe colleges don't stifle enough writers. The field is suffering from an excess of competancy without creativity."

LOL thats actually pretty funny. I'm a creative writing major, so I can relate. Though most of the time I am simply paranoid of my own inadequacy as a writer. Specifically because I have no idea what I actually plan on DOING with my major. I think I'd like to be a journalist but I didn't have the gpa to get in the journalism school *meep*

Mrr, thanks Jkat. I'll get them up tomorrow after life has calmed down a little more and I'm not like... crashing in my friend's room from exhaustion to the point where I literally can't remember anything that went on after I got back in his dorm room. Driving a day and a half can do that to ya.

Edit: And apparently I... didn't save the baby images? *le. bloody. sigh* Unless they're somewhere in some strange and random folder. They shouldn't be, and I doubt they are, but meh...

Oh, Star, I didn't mean you had to get them up right away! Honestly, do it when you're feeling up to it!

The babies are still in the folder where the adult images are; go to the adult image, and then replace the a at the end of their name with y, and the baby images should be right there still.

How about this: I want to know who seriously intends to write me a candidate by tomorrow night. :) After that... well, after that I may set a second deadline at which stories have to be finished, but I DO want to give you guys plenty of time to write these stories!

So toss me an email at jkatkina @ gmail . com if you intend to send me a Fireling applicant, even if you don't have them written yet! Actually, I'd like it if I could get the name and species of who you're sending in, but even that's negotiable. :)
