Bone dragon

So, I ended up having really strange dreams, in which this critter showed up in varying forms, and decided to draw it. Keep in mind that it's not done, because, well.. when I was drawing it, I didn't have any pelvic references, so this is about as far as I could get and still be pretty sure of the structure.



So, what do you all think? I've already thought about deepening the chest slightly because it looks too flat, and about redrawing the paw that's on the ground because it feels "off" to me. What do you think?

Comments, questions, suggestions?

And would anyone be interested in one if I finished these things?

To me, the only thing that's off is the size of the chest cavity. It is far smaller than the whole head, it should be 2-3 times that size I would think. Otherwise, sweet!

Oh good lord skeletal headwings. XD ::shudders!:: (Don't mind me, headwings are bizarre to me.) But wouldn't a breastbone on the neck impair flexibility along those vertebrae?

Looks good, though I do agree with Shard's observation. That planted foot looks fine to me, too.

*snickering* I drew that part of it, then winced when the first thing that came to mind was "My god, I just drew a draconic version of a Bubble monster from Zelda..."

And I was thinking that, with the flexibility... as said, things might (will) end up getting changed. It's hard getting bone structure to 'line up' right with how something should look =P

I hated them in the Shadow Temple when you have to fight as a kid.. they're like... five times your size? No joke? Oh well ^^ I have no bloody idea where this critter came from, but whatever.
