I think possibly what Ness means is:
You should not have accepted the rule-breaking characters until they were correct, so they would not become an example to the other submitters. That your rules are confusing, and that you didn't follow them yourself when putting up characters that weren't correct to them.
I also got the impression from your rules that you DID accept stat sheets as characters or sponsors, and that stories were the preferred method. I didn't get the impression that one must have both a stat page AND a story - only that a story would get in, and a stat page wasn't a story.
That's my impression of this situation anyway. Glad that you've updated your rules though.

Got the form! :)
Alright, one last thing before the clutch closes tonight.
I have two Unassigned sponsors, and I'm still figuring out how I deal with that kind of thing. I'm thinking I might do what Phe does and just bring them in when I need an extra sponsor or two in a clutch; does that sit well with everyone?
(For reference, the two sponsors are Saurake-Lamatiy (DNS) and Aish (Omniwite/Moogz). )

I used to use mine to fill up empty spots in a clutch, but then I got overwhelmed with 'em so I only did one or two per clutch and just tried to siphon through them. Unless you mean the kind that come with stories? (I mean the ones where they got a freebie. XD)
That sounds like a good idea to me, anyhoo! :)

Hey all!
The fifth clutch has hatched! Pickup can be found here.
Congratulations to everyone taking home a dragonet. Hatchlings are due up December 23rd! I will remind you three days before the deadline -- that is, December 20th -- but after that it's up to you. :)
What comes after this? Well, I have a few options... that I have to decide on before I can announce. :) Suggestions are also welcome, if you have event ideas or whatever. Watch this space for more.
Abandonlings from the Halloween Clutch have also been posted. Because I deal with abandonlings in a rather haphazard manner, three have already found new homes, and the fourth will be announced when I decide how to deal with abandonlings.
Anyways, yes! Sorry for taking so long with the darn hatching! I have discovered... well, re-discovered how much I passionately HATE writing hatching stories. Ugh.

<3 I love them too. ;-; particularly the way you did the colours-- they all ogo so well together, and the markings look so natural. -happysigh-
to be on the safe side, i'm gonna ask for an extention now, even though it's weeks from the deadline. ._. i go on vacation soon, and my schedule till then is busybusy. X.x i might get them up before-- but if not, may i have an extention assured to me well in advance?

For sure!
Thank you for letting me know ahead of time your plans, because I'm forseeing a lot of deadline issues with this clutch. >.> It looks right now that either no one has noticed that the hatchies are out, or no one cares, and I really don't feel like chasing down everyone who had a candidate in this thing. ^.^; So don't worry too much about it; I'll let you know when the adults come out, but you just take however much time you need.
Also, with this resounding and profound silence going around right about now, I think I may not do something in the Nidus again for a while. >.> At least until things perk up a bit, here.

I sorry, I saw and loved, but didn't comment ;.; I'm just all sleepy and slow today.... They're adorable, of course, all your stuff is ^^ I'll prolly be pestering you later to see if you have any personality info to give me or if I'm on my own with just the hatching blurb.
I think it might just be a slow day today. Don't give up with only one day of almost-silence, that's just silly X3

'Epic' is most concisely defined as something that, were you to do it in view of a person in real life, they'd pretty much have to sleep with you immediately to maintain order in the universe.
I sneezed. It seems to have reshaped reality. My bad.

I don't normally post on the Nexus, but...
They're gorgeous, both of them. Simply beautiful little creatures. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I'll get any story-bits up by the deadline (I have something for Epalti, but it's rather short). Both images are posted, linked from the index and the state pages of both bonders, but I don't think I'll be able to do much more than that until after exams. My apologies.

*SQUEAL!* OMIGOSH they're all -awesome-. Tho I must say, mine is the most gorgeous one of the litter. *pridepride* <3!
Cir: @.@
*SO much glee*
I don't know exacly when I'll end up with time to get this pretty girl up, since I've got two final art projects due within two days of eachother next week (neither of which I've actually started), a pen and ink stippling project due wednesday (which is less than half done), and a web design project due friday... and then the final for -that- class next week, too. ^.^;;
Totally getting her up before deadline though. With story. <3

Eek. <.> I'm sorry for freaking out a bit. You know when you get excited about something you know you probably shouldn't..? Yeah. XD This is the first proper hatching story I've written in ages.
And oh man, I can't wait to give out the adults... I'm very fond of them.
:3 I'm glad folk like their dragons. Thank you to those who have their pics up already! And extentions to those who have said they might need them. No problem; I know it's busy right now.
Yay, thank you guys. <:3

Alright, so, I know what I'm going to do for the next clutch! It deals with an idea I've had for a while, as well as a way to deal with abandonlings. >D
Conglomerate Clutch 1
Bergez, Nidus Avengaea's resident geneticist, has spoken to the administration and gotten them to agree to lend her the sands for the time it takes to run one clutch. There will be no donors or parents for this clutch; the gametes she's using are her own and her aide Bak's, but all of the genetic material is getting replaced with artificially synthesized, extremely malleable and adaptable genes.
What she is doing with these modified zygotes is essentially a practice in the magical and medical equivalents of copy-and-paste. Bergez has stored the genetic data from the past five clutches, including the massive amounts of data concerning the order and configurations of the genes involved, and in this clutch she wants to try her hands at creating offspring that are identical in genetic configuration, but familialy completely unrelated, and differing in small details such as color and size, to the offspring from the past five clutches.
Now, the Nidus has agreed to this on one condition: That the abandonlings from the past five clutches, those who had not already found new homes and happiness, could take part in this clutch if they so desired -- could use this cluch as a medium to talk to new potential bonders, and perhaps find themselves a life partner.
What this means for you is that, if you missed a previous clutch that you particularly loved, here is a chance to get in on the action! Also involved are abandonlings from previous clutches.
New dragons will be unrelated entirely to previous clutches, and in fact will be closer to daemons than to their parents, in thait their genetics, and that of their offspring, will be relatively easy to manipulate. They will come with two images (barring those from the first clutch, where the young image has been lost in the sands of time, unless I can find a different way to salvate it D:).
Adopted abandonlings will be related to their siblings, but will have only one image.
You may request getting in on a certain clutch, but it's up to me in the end whether you get a conglom or an abandonling.
This is going to be a restricted-length story clutch, the restriction being between five and ten paragraphs. Again, paragraphs can be as long or as short as you want them to be, and you can either count dialogue or not, however you like. :)
I will set up clutch information and sign-ups sometime soon!
