And I have a question already... XD

I usually confer with Ty to see which of my potential Flurry-ers she likes the best... are we allowed to give you a preview of our potential Flurry-ers so you can say which would be the most suited/you would like to draw the offspring for most? Or would that take the point out of having an audition?

Hrm hrm hrm.... Who to send this year? Senorith should be retired at this point. She's been in almost every single one. Horeteth only shows up with Neiverineth is there. Something new... Gotta go through my records.

Five minutes later....

Well that was difficult. I do hope Synitai makes the cut. :3 These little pranksters need to get their genes out and about.

The decision is completely up to you guys to send in who you want to. I'm not going to ask for anything more specific than what I've already stated, since I'd rather you guys picked who /you/ want to breed. If there's a surplus then I'll start picking the ones I'd rather draw, but in the meantime, feel free to send your favorite. :3

And you don't want evil dragons... I have an undead flame-winged silver from Ryslen that I think is pretty cool... but his rider's a vampire. I don't know if I'd call Rakyn evil so much as... he enjoys his undead life... Since he's been at Cy G*non will have had him on a strict no-killing policy and he's probably mellowed out slightly... but would a blood sucking vampire still be... discouraged at the Flurry? XDD

And would say... a white with solid colored wings be more appreciated than a white with rainbow wings?

*roots through dragons more* I don't think I have one solid white! Well... maybe one... but he's been in tons of Flurries and is getting old... and I have a kinda pinkish white one but I'm not sure what color to call him... hrm....

*taunts with teh whiteness!*

I think he'll be my entry, but I have to do a final scan of all my dragons who are eligible first. ^^ Yay! Flurryness yet again!

Sent you one! I hope she's acceptable ^^ I rather like her, but have never had the chance to really do anything with her.

I'll leave it up to you to consider what's too evil, Sherra. If you think he can behave himself, and if you think Ryslen would tolerate him, then feel free to send him in.

If I had to choose between something solid white and something with rainbows, I'd probably default to white--but again, if you like the rainbowed one better, then go ahead and send him in! X3 Maybe the rainbow one is prettier for some reason... it's up to you!

So very... frustrating... how is one able to only send in one when one doesn't even know it'll be picked? *dies*

I have Ryuki my light blue fox dragon that screams flurry but so does... Wirianth from the 04 flurry... Then there's Arlith but she's so traditonal...

My poor babys...

You still have time to pick, Midori. Aren't mental gymnastics a good way of working out the brain? :P

I have to warn you guys that the rest of the flurry is going to be very much restricted--in the number of candidates and how much I'd like to see written for them--because I plan to have this thing go out sometime a little after New Years, so if you like to write profusely or for lots and lots of candidates, you may want to get ready to change gears. If you can't stomach it, you can certainly come back to next year's Flurry when Ty's running it her way, but in the meantime all of this... well, I hesitate to call it bitching...

Look at it this way. If you're going to post something that's sheer frustration and complaining that the rules don't suit you, please take a moment to think about what you're going to type? If you were to set up a frenzy or clutch and many of the posts you recieved were hurtful (whether meaning to be or not) would you like to keep going with it? While the Flurry isn't my baby, and I don't want anybody to think that I'm claiming it, I'm having a lot of fun with getting it on the road, and while I'm going to ignore any specific 'venting' posts from now on, please don't post anymore of that!!

It's really darn frustrating! XD

(And to everybody who's just having fun with this, thank you. You make my day sunshine and happy-faces.)

Anyways, we're up to about eight participants, and once all of them come in, I'll ask Ty to update the current Flurry-page. More info as it comes in. :)

Hey Dray I think it's awesome you're doing this. I was going to enter Petasati and Veresti but they already have a clutch :P And we're only allowed to enter one anyway so it's all good. I'll see if I have anyone I can send.

Also what are the rules going to be in terms of length of candidates? I probably won't have time to write more than one, but how short is SHORT? Not trying to complain I just would like to know what I'm up against ;)

Ten paragraph max if you're trying for a white, this year. It may end up being shorter (seven?) if I'm feeling rushed, but that's going to be the big OOC challenge for this year. The max number of candidates per person will also be two or three, depending on how under-the-gun I'm feeling about drawing and colouring templates.

The theme for this year will be announced when the flight story is written.

*winces nervously* Erm, does that mean no more than ten paragraphs, or the minimun is ten paragraphs?

I think she said ten paragraph MAX. I'm sure you can have more than that if you want a lower ranking color but the idea is shorter = better, assuming you still get the point across. Of course I'm not Dray, that's just what I see is happening.

Ten paragraphs /max/. The reason for this is because it takes less time to read a candidate, which means that I can pair them up faster, so that the Flurry can go out on time.

Since it didn't seem like any of my current dragons really matched your criteria, I decided to draw one. XD I'mma inking her now. ^________^ Hopefully the driver reload of my scanner worked so I can get her finished and out to you. XD
Database Being Revamped

'Epic' is most concisely defined as something that, were you to do it in view of a person in real life, they'd pretty much have to sleep with you immediately to maintain order in the universe.
I sneezed. It seems to have reshaped reality. My bad.

A-yep. :D Darn, I like this limit thing too! (I'm just waiting for the swing in the opposite direction that always happens -- soon there'll be minimum requirements on some clutches for those who enjoy writing long. X3)

Sweet deal, DF! ^_^ I don't mind drawn dragons; can't wait to see what you come up with!

Heck, if people want to write more, they can, but I'm saying that the ten paragraph max is if you'd like to try for the Flurry White this year. On a side note, I'm not picking who gets the White this year--Ty is. Another reason for having the max is so that I can pick out a few stories to send to Ty to review, and that way she doesn't have to read really long ones when she's taking her break. :) Kind of multipurpose.

Hopefully not /too/ minimum? >.> I can always sit it out, of course.

:3 limits sound good~ The only problem with limits is that it's sometimes hard to get them to be that big/small, even if you normally write that ammount.. >.> It's like fate conspires against you, and the one time you actually WANT to write short or long, you caaan't~ damn fate. -wriggles fist at-

but yes. >.> Will the lower ranks be the dragons with more colour? Because I wouldn't mind that. I don't usually mind lower ranks anyway, but yes. And sorry for spamming you with questions-- one last thing/ Sponsors~ Will they be counted as one of our candidate limit, which is what i'm thinking (but as i'm not sure, i ask~), and will they be allowed at all, and all that? :3

-hugs dray- btw, I am very much glad you're doing this. >.> MYFIRSTFLURRY, dude. :3 big deal to /me/, even if it isn't drawn by ty. I'm tempted to make a celebratory clutch or something, but i've got too much to do~ XP

Low rankers typically have more colour in 'em... but not in the same way that Pernese dragons have green being the lowest, gold being the highest. Most of the ones that /aren't/ white are equal to each other, so something that's rainbow-ice is the same as something that's silver-albino, for example. I'm not going to be actively trying to put more colour into lower rankers.

Sponsors will count towards the total number of candidates sent in, and will be allowed--even encouraged--to sign up. Sponsors will work in the same way as candidates, with the exception that sponsors adopt a hatchling instead of bonding to it mentally. Since some clutches won't bond naturally, sponsors will be needed, I think!

Sponsor. That sounds good *nodnod* The candidate I already have in mind would be much better suited to sponsoring than bonding. He's too old for one thing, and for the other he was bonded to another dragon who died and would like to move on without "replacing" her. A sponsor would be an ideal solution.

Ten paragraph max! O_O an interesting challenge that Sherra has never faced before! I usually consider my short candidates short-and-pointless and attribute good qualities to the long ones... but to make a short and good candidate... It will require a feat of Sherra brain stretching as never done before!

Ten paragraph white.... whoo..... this is gonna be interesting... XD

*starts brainstorming*

hihi! Sorry I haven't jumped in yet, but I got overtime dumped on my head when I got to work on Friday, and have barely gotten to the computer until now.

Dray's not taking over -- like she said, the Flurry's my baby... she's "merely" babysitting this year. She had a very clear idea of what and how she wanted to do it, and since you all were so heartbroken... yeah. Flurry. :)

I'll get the updated stuff uploaded to the Flurry pages... but that's the majority of my involvement right there.... 'cause this year I can play in the snow while Dray and Shi' do the hard parts. :)
If you catch me on AIM (thecrazytiger) please send me a quick note and remind me your name on there. It has been so long since I used that chat medium, I'm staring blankly at my list and not knowing who's actually there. >.<
