But no worries, Unyko. Eikida's been slotted in as a dragonry-sponsor for a while now. :3 (That "random assignation" dragonry-sponsors get is easy to do when I rarely get them. XD)

The Clutch B has a note about needing death energies to survive. However, so does the personality desc of one of the Clutch A dragonets (why yes, I do read what the other candidates get, personality-wise >.> ). Do all or even some of Clutch A feed of of death energies, too? Given that only one of the Clutch A hatchlings mentions it, I'm guessing it's just a mistake, but I thought I'd ask to make sure....

Question about the death-energies thing... how do the dragons obtain the death-energies? Do they have to kill something themselves or just feed off of already-dead beings? (For story purposes, and because I'm an idiot and I overlook obvious stuff really easily. XD)

The dragon needs to be around something when it dies--whether it's a natural death, they're killed by the dragon itself, or someone/something else kills it. The energies released in that death are what the dragon absorbs/eats.

The handful of Destiny locals with minor levels of that diet requirement, for example, "eat" the deaths of creatures who are not properly Synthed or simply do not survive to the hatching. (Because that does happen, I just don't play it up.) Only Fantredala, who needs mass quantities of death energies, has to go off elsewhere to find bigger deaths to feed from.

Also, the spirit-dragons can 'store' excess death energy, meaning if they were near an area of mass death, they could feed on that energy and not need to feed for a good long time.

Being in a material form uses up more energy than staying in spirit form.

It's not limited to animal death, either--plants work, though not as well.

It's a pitiful excuse for a stoy, but it's there. ^.^;; (My other spawn!of!Dark taur-like dragon will be in there too.. hence the name. X3) If I manage to scrounge enough time between classes, I'll add some more and try to fix it up.. *sheepish*
