Okay, I remembered why I hate PSP... I've been trying to name the layers, and it keeps pissing me off. Every time I hit certain keys it starts bringing up the stupid toolbars. >_< I've looked online, but there doesn't seem to be a resource...have also checked 'help'.

Does anyone know how to fix this so it will let me name files or layers?

I think there's a way you "save as" in one of the toolbar menus. Export or save alpha, save layer, maybe. It's been a while for me and I'm using psp 8 now. 8 really is better, by far, than 7 was... If you get the chance nab it...

Save as is in file
to rename the layers go to the tool bar and right click the layer you want to 'rename' then hit rename...

Don't have a clue how to fix the typing thing I never have it 'open' when I'm online or typing I usely just reduce it and it's fine and doesn't 'do stuff' while I posting, iming, just 'typing' in genral.

Help isn't very useful atleast I've never found it so when it's on.

Curses. I used to have that problem all the time and now I can't remember how to undo it. :/ I seem to remember closing and reopening worked sometimes. Good luck.

Guys, I KNOW how to use save as and rename a layer. I'm not that illiterate.

When I'm trying to type in a name it keeps bringing up toolbars and screwing everything up.

Hm. Are you hitting shift with any of the letters? Some of the toolbars (IIRC) are keyed to shift + <letter>. If that's the case, typing in all lower case should solve the problem, or tapping caps lock to get certain letters capitalized instead of shift should also work.

That's the only thing I could think of. Otherwise, I got nothin'. :/

Try tapping Alt a couple times, too. Alt is one of those weird things that sometimes the computer thinks it's locked on... Tapping it a couple times usually fixes it, but it does rather sound like the problem you're having.
