I couldn't decide if it was 'is' or 'are'... neither sounded right, prolly because Mirusii is a plural but lacks an 's'...

There's three stages in total... so after this stage, you'll get the adults. I'm glad you like 'em.

Upcoming project - breed a Mirusan with a Danachian...

In the second stage, they're about six months old - they can talk, they're just beginning to eat normal foods, they're also learning flight and magic...

I probably should have been doing any one of a multitude of other things...

Even if we accepted the fact that sketching was going to occur, I probably should have done the next Gens or any of the other images I need to do right now.

However, the one that actually got done was this one:

They are super-mutts - Danachian / Flurry / Hathian / Piralan / Gryvern / Lesser Kynnese / Schattarneki / Geperna / Whorling / Featherdragon / Old World / SCD / Iullerbrillan Mutt, plus probably a few more breeds I haven't tracked down yet... I think they may have some Alskyrian blood on their fathers side, perhaps...

I got your application, Kitsuneko... I just haven't been able to do the dragon yet.... same to all the other people who sent me Candidates. My excuse is that trying to get my Synth 10 Candidate done on time is taking the time I'd normally reserve for writing hatching stories...

Little update, right now...

DNS's Mirusii have finally reached adulthood - http://shiolar.merseine.nu/mirus/archive_rletph01.htm

I've got a handful of Candidates for both Gen 01D (Shirra x Luera) and Allorath Rufasilex x Bokuhi Usadah. Technically, the deadline for both clutches is today, but I'm gonna extend it a bit, until Saturday. Then, time permitting, I'll do the whole lot at once. Seems like the easiest way to do it.

Theeeen... I'll finish colouring and shading Coronataith x Syen for the random, non-Gen clutch at Mirus. And I'll draw Gen 02A, which is Remelahmta-leidra x Pheidoh, I believe.

I'm also going to be doing a clutch for Thentrith x Kajashaji, just because I have the artistic skills to actually do that pairing justice now, which I didn't years ago. So that'll be a nice clutch of Danachian x Avyndal babies.

And finally, I'll get a site up for the Mhara Varrey and open up bonding there, too. I'll be putting together some more information for that soon, once I have it all written down.

A lot of this probably won't occur until the weekend at the very least. But this is all a heads up so you know what's coming.

We finally have a bonding for the last of Gen01D. Many apologies for the delay. There's no story to go with this, just the images and stats, so feel free to go nuts with your bonding/sponsorship stories. The pedigree also includes a full list of all the names dragons from this clutch.

Oh, as a note... Astra, I wanted to give Zodiac a 'higher ranking' one, but you did say you don't like too many appendages. Zodiac's definitely has my favourite markings and colours, though.

And don't worry about the ranking thing, he is teh secks the way he is and the fact that you wanted to give him something higher ranking fills me with teh squeeage.

Crap. Pharoah was supposed to be in this clutch, as was Nightmare. But I was stalled out on writing Nightmare so I didn't actually send either of them.

They have limbs. They're meant to have limb-y bonds. Shoot. Pharoah has been done for 2 months now.

Yeah I'm pretty sure there was no last-call. But at least Pharoah's page is actually up, and Nightmare's is halfway finished so hopefully they'll be the first next time lol.

Now, this information isn't up on Mirus itself just yet, namely because there's a lot of other things I need to type up in order for it all to make sense, BUT:

I'm now accepting Candidates for the Mhara Varrey. Sorry guys, no sponsoring for these, unless you have an extremely excellent story, for reasons which will become apparent as I describe the species in a bit more detail.

Before I do that, however, feast your eyes upon Ruiquar Erany'Delphio, one of the adult Mhara Varrey who protects the Kiarkyl Muir Lagoon and helps young Mhara Varrey to find their bonds:

Now, you may have noticed those little gems on her fins. These are what, I hope, will motivate some story writing. Obviously, the gems will look better on later images. I did Ruiquar for practice.

Mhara Varrey have to bond, and they do so when they reach six months old. They come, with their parents and the rest of their pod, to Kiarkyl Muir Lagoon, a sacred place for the Mhara Varrey. On the seabed, amongst all the beautiful white sand, are magical bonding gems.

These vary in size and colour, but the size is the important part. A Mhara Varrey will choose the gem they're most drawn to and with it they will bond, most often to a member of their pod, but for the purposes of adopting, they can bond to pretty much anything that's sentient and happens to be there at the time.

When a Mhara Varrey bonds a Candidate, they therefore get a gem, and the size will be determined by your Candidate's story. Then, after bonding, the Mhara Varrey and their new bond can seek to strengthen their bond, which basically means finding extra gems on the seafloor.

Then, when the Mhara Varrey reaches adulthood, you'll have a total value of gems. You let me know what colours, sizes and positions you want, and they get added to the adult image of your Candidate's Mhara Varrey.

There's an additional bonus to writing good stories, of course, for the Mhara Varrey with the strongest bonds, ie the highest value of gems, gets more and stronger abilities. The colours of the gems don't have any effect, other than aesthetic.

The individual gems are valued as:

1 huge gem = 2 large gems
1 large gem = 3 medium gems
1 medium gem = 4 small gems
1 small gem = 5 tiny gems

1 huge = 2 large = 6 medium = 24 small = 120 tiny

Now, obviously, if you earn a huge gem or two, you can split them down into smaller units. But for the sake of my sanity, you can't take 2 huge gems and split them down into 240 tiny gems (although such a gem encrusted Mhara Varrey probably would look cool...)

I'm hoping that I'm not stepping on your toes, Dray and Phe, since you did the whole upgrading adult images of dragons first... But I think this is significantly different enough from cyborware, yes?

Finally, the different types of Mhara Varrey are equally ranked, but they do have some different personality traits:
Acuto: Solid, down-to-earth, and sensible, but usually having a good level of intelligence to match their logic.
Coeruleo: Athletic, adventurous and curious, and therefore can be rather reckless and chaotic.
Comerso: Quiet, unassuming, usually rather shy and reserved, and often loners.
Delphio: Energetic, playful and affectionate, these Mhara Varrey are the most friendly and gregarious.
Tursio: Highly intelligent, but also natural-born jokers, so they often struggle to take life seriously.

There may be some colour variation between individuals of the same type, if I feel like colouring several different shades.
