I never figured out how to make PNG's transparent. Some of the dragons were PNG instead of GIF to preserve their colors... if you can, and you want to, feel free to transparent-ize your PNG dragons...

In the Flights/Frenzies section, in the Flurry thread.

I rolled dice. Luck just wasn't with Ukaoth. Besides, C'rale's Pernese. I thought he'd me more comfortable with a non-shifter.

Ohhh okay now I understand! It was just a bit confusing since all of her siblings where and she wasn't. Also that was very thoughtful Ty though concidoring more and more things at Wu are no longer 'pernese' I don't think he would have had an issue. ^.^;

If you use photoshop and save as PNG-24 then it should be transparent automatically as long as you have transparent-space in the image. As for other programs I can't help you *shrug* However also in IE pngs are NEVER transparent, just another reason why Firefox is much better of a browser :D

In PSP 8 you must 'export image as png'. That'll lead you to the PNG optimizer, which you can use to set the transparency level and the color you're using. It's a pretty spiffy optimizer, I have to say because it's actually really quick on the redraws for samples, and you can see just how much transparency color there really is - you can adjust the tolerance for that in png format where GIF is only one of the colors period.

Eeek! Ok... I have all of mine up... need to do stories on the last three but I swear I'll do that tomorrow... I just wanted to make sure they were up today because I don't know if they need to be up by tomorrow or if tomorrow is the last day to get them up... Zetasera is at http://hometown.aol.com/cysherra3/zetasera.html and the other ones are linked from their stories...

O_o I kinda underestimated how much the convention would wear me out... I thought I'd be able to do this yesterday...

With conventions or other high-paced fun, /always/ work a recovery-day in right afterwards. XD Save you some burnout.
(Also, that dragon is really cool looking. o.O I think I missed seeing it on the pickup page!)

Hey? Still got eggs at Ryslen -- Cysscatainth's babies. This' the first time -ever- that there's been a preview (Kitsuneko's birthday present) and still no takers? I'm confused and a touch hurt.

If there's no interest in (a) this clutch (b) standard-template dragons from Ryslen and/or (c) write-a-bonder, submit-and-wait, get-a-dragon type operations, I'll just stop, but dammit, this clutch is going to hatch if I have to keep 'em all.
If you catch me on AIM (thecrazytiger) please send me a quick note and remind me your name on there. It has been so long since I used that chat medium, I'm staring blankly at my list and not knowing who's actually there. >.<

Oh, I am most definitely interested. I won't be able to write up and candidate stories until I am back in SB on at least Wed. however - time constraints until then and thus bad stories that make no sense would follow. Right now, that is.

*thinks* you know I have a character that I think I could send. I'm not sure though because I'm super-duper-reluctant to write the story because it's going to be novel-length and admittedly I'm scared of it  Ryslen babies might be perfect however because they have hatchling, weyrling, and adult stages, and the story would be good divided into the four distinct parts (candidate, hatchling, weyrling, and adult). I'll start writing it and see how far I get 8)

Hey Ty, will the stages go out in phases, like first the hatchlings, then a week later the fledglings, etc, or will they all be given out at the same time? This is because I want to have fairly lengthy stories for the hatchling and fledgling stages and when/how they will be distributed will determine how I write the pre-bonding story. Thanks! *runs off deviously*

Just so you know I have never, ever, ever written anything like this before for dragoning. This character has been around a good long time, but I would have never before even thought about writing a candidate story of him. I'm so nervous *nailbite* Not that he'll probably seem all that unusual to you, but for me, it's a big step

I'll be sending some folks out, don't worry. Been busy, and I realized only recently that you'd had eggs out after/during the Flurry :)

I'm so excited and relieved that y'all still want Ryslen dragons. I was feeling utterly crappy about the whole thing.

Astra -- I generally send out the stages about a week apart, though I may extend that somewhat, since there's so much going on in the Nexus.

I worked on this story at the exclusion of all other life for days, and now it is finally finished. And I'm very excited about that so I'm sticking it here to brag about how i fiiiiiinished:

Gasp, I can't believe I put this story on the internet where people can read it. Must go hide now.

On Alternate Breeding:

I'm 100% for fusion-type breedings, whether Magical or Scientific.

Ryslen Dragons, AAM Beasts, Lian Minis, Flurry Dragons, and the dragons/gryphons/seadragons from Belrin Isle are all OK for fusions/splicing. ((I'm not sure who all actually does this beyond Myrror and Phe's Abstract Destiny, so if somebody could inform me, that'd be great.))

Ryslen's dragons (once Pernese stock, but aren't anymore) are highly succeptible to change -- they hybridize very well, though some things like their big paws, crest, and their facial/head shape seem to be prominent in their offspring.

Due to this effect, I'm of the mind that a magical gender-change might become a permanent change in a percentage of Ryslen-born dragons, whether they like it or not. However, there is no way I can enforce this.

I don't discourage anyone to magically change their Ryslen dragons, but I don't encourage it either.

I just posed these questons on PM, but I suppose I shall make them public:

Do people refer to you to decide whether or not to make the changes permanent, or do they choose on their own? And also, could the switches be reversed with another gender switch to the original gender, or is that disallowed for cruel plot purposes?
