ATTN: Stardancer you're the only one left who hasn't given me either a reason or a page. Actually you've yet to give me a gender, too. Please at least give me a gender for your dunan, so I can finish off its stats and code, and if you already gave me that or a page on the old thread before the board crash, please just give it to me again coz I never saw it.

yes. haaa. fabulous. um. most of you already know stuff about dunans, from the last board... if you want more info on them i've been adding stuff to the Information section. you can find it by clicking "Dunans" in the main site's sidebar/topbar, depending whether you choose frames or not, then Information. I was away the past two days, so if you told me stuff between then and now, please repost? ^.^;; Anyway.

I announced it in page three of the last one, but adults get put up as soon as the little'ns have a webpage up. there's no specific deadline or whatever - they just don't grow until they get put up. stats and genetic codes can be found here; if you need the HTML for your genetic code again please feel free to ask.

The people whose pages I saw were up are listed in the Registry in the Database; like i said i've been gone, so if you've gotten it up in the past day or two and haven't received your adult image, gimme a poke and i'll be sure to get it to you. =3

FAQ:

~Do dunans fly?
~~No. Their wings are too small to fly with. They use em for balance while running.

~Are they breeding-stable only or do normal people have them?
~~~Dunans are really fairly common animals; it's like pre-car horses almost. if you don't have one, your neighbor likely does, except in the bigger cities where there wouldn't be room to keep them individually. Some people keep them exclusively for racing or showing, some use them as work animals, and most everyone rides or uses lightweight traps to get around. Cities usually have a central stable that can act as a taxi service, almost.

~Can dunans belong to dragonriders?
~~Yes. Dunans don't bond, so they can be owned by anyone. They aren't stupid, but they aren't going to be eternally traumatized by being sold or moved or whatever.

~Are they breedable with other bipeds?
~~Yes, provided the differences in body structure aren't too drastic.

~Live birth or eggs?
~~Live birth, usually one to two at a time, sometimes three.

~Stats? What do we need stats for?
~~Stats will be used more when we open up races and events. Stats will play a major part in who wins, but they will not be the only deciding factor.

~Win? Whattawe get if we win stuff?
~~Ribbons, buttons, banners, trophies... probably better-statted offspring and more prestige. ^_~ I dunno, we'll cross that bridge later.

and by soonish i apparently meant tomorrow because i'm lazy and tired. ^.^; anyway, here she is! ^_^

also, i read through your story and i think tis quite good. =3 being a grazer, Stardust wouldn't have to worry much about food, so when they stopped for the night she'd be fairly well rested for the next day. however, she'd probably not be a very *young* kit at the time - almost adult, say around a year and a half old. dunans aren't considered "adult" until their second birthday, but they start being rideable by fourteen months or so. Considering that Leora weighs only 115 lbs, she's plenty small enough to ride a not-quite-adult dunan. =3

ATTN: Having gotten no response in the Database thread, I'm putting it here now too. Tebsiqeu and Stardancer, I don't even have GENDERS from either of you for your dunans. Without genders I can't put up stats. I have no names and no pages and if you DID give it to me and I lost it in the forum crash, PLEASE just tell me where they are or at least pick a gender. Everyone else has either directly or indirectly given me at least a reason for why theirs isn't up or whatever, and that's really all I want. And a gender. PLEASE give me a gender, at the very least. If you lost your dunan in the crash and that's why nothing's been mentioned, I'll find it for you. Thank you.
