You're more than welcome to resize these if you want, Myr, but they'll prolly look awful if you do...

Squee! Have I mentioned how much I love Danachian dragon names? So nice and long, and yet still roll right off the tongue, usually. ^_^

I deliberately had Rinkworks create a load of long ones just for this giveaway... and then I had to pick out all the pronouncable ones... whether they roll off the tongue or not prolly depends on your... accent, I suppose? The difference between tom-AY-to and tom-AH-to...

:3 Thanks, Shiolar. X3 Honestly, I like me my .gifs better than .pngs, because IE still doesn't se .pngs as transparent. 9.9 And it may just be my old monitor, but I can't tell much of a difference betwen .gif and .png! X3

But to each their own. :D Thanks again.

But... compare the wings on the greeeeeeeeeen... the GIF ones look all... not smooth. You'd think 256 colours would be enough for a solid green dragon, wouldn't you?

I suppose I just get used to PNGs, though... I haven't used IE in years, and my connection can support downloading large images, and I have two huuuuuuuge monitors on the largest resolution my graphics card can cope with (not big enough - need a new graphics card), so I really notice the difference between GIF and PNG...

X3 That'd do it, then. I'm on a very old monitor that hates dark colors and really is smaller than I'd like it to be (but beggars can't be choosers I suppose). AND I'm hooked up currently to an also very old and very slow connection, though thankfully no longer dialup. X3 What can ya do. Maybe someday when I get my own computer I'll notice the difference.

I snagged the silver for a test resizing. I couldn't tell the difference in the shading for resized .png and resized .gif, however, the resized .gif's outer outline got a little choppy.

Otherwise they look ok to me.

May I ask what you have your display set at? ^.^;;; The origional size picture only still scrolls at 1024x768, and it hurts my eyes to go any larger than that. I tried. ^.^;;

Yeah, they look okay resized into PNGs... but with the GIFs you'll either get choppy outlines or bad transparencies...

Sooo... if anybody wants theirs resized down, lemme know and I'll do 'em. Or you can do them yourself, to fit your pages/monitors.

I'm using 1152x864 at the moment. I'd rather be using 1280x1024, but my graphics card is too old to cope with two monitors at that resolution... It can do it, but only if I drop the refresh rate down to 60, but that's slower than the human eye to brain communication, so it flickers... imagine having two monitors both flickering at you! It was making my eyes go all funny, so I had to drop screen resolution...

huge screen pride!

;-; -envy face at jkat- i loved firefox. i used it all the time, right up until it died on me. X.x it doesn't work at my comp at home, and i use netscape at the other house i stay at (where i am now) because it has user accounts that save passwords and such for all my webbies, that i can protect with a whole masterpassword. I've got like, 50 layers of passwording on this computer.
-pets it-

-cries- i want my mozzy back! I did download the whole mozzy package, though. The thing that comes with the web editing software too? it's nice.

I've shaded the trio-wing template... I just have to figure out how I want to give them out, and also figure out some decent sizings for it... the full sized image is huge, being 1075x900 in size, and that's with very little spare space around the edge (3 or 4 pixels?)

The GIF, unresized, is 200k and looks a bit awful... Can't resize it without losing the outlines and/or transparency... the full sized PNG is over 500k, which is obviously excessively large... I resized it down to 500x419, and it's still 200k, but the transparency is still there, although I don't much like the way the outlines fuzzed when I shrank it. The trio-wing always was huge, though...

So... thoughts on preferred sizes, both in dimensions and download?

Provide the images at maximum size, with the same allowance for people to request resizing or do it themselves? I know I, at least, always like to have the original on hand, no matter how big it is, even if I use a smaller version on my webspace. :)

Sounds okay. I'll provide PNGs and GIFs at full size, and people can resize as they wish... I'll display the GIF on the forums, and link to the PNGs, so people on slow connections don't have to download the half meg PNGs unless they want to.

Now I'll just figure out a nice way of giving them out so there's a decent number out there without me going insane... Maaaaybe... limit it to one dragon of each rare template per person? How's that sound?

how many rare templates are you doing/what colours do they come in? if there's more than one template and they come in the normal colours, then three is more reasonable, since there'd be a lot to choose from? ^^ but limiting sounds good-- that way everyone gets one.

There's several templates... I have trio-wings, duo-wings, aquatics, skeletals, featherwings and trio-wing aquatics... I haven't decided on colours yet, though. The normal colours, at minimum.

What I meant was that I was thinking of saying everyone can have one from each template? So, one duo-wing, one trio-wing, one aquatic, and so on... Maybe a draw for trio-winged aquatics, because currently there's only one of those in existance, and they're meant to be special...

I shall colour the trio-wings later today, then, or perhaps tomorrow... been doing this giveaway just about all day, so it's time to relax for a bit, I think...

Can I get another copper? I just can't handle the idea of 13 dragons. Not superstitious at all though. *laughs* And another one of your delightfully amusing bonds. Maybe totemic might I suggest?

Can i have another lavender, black OR copper, and silver? >.> I love the lavenderr to death. and silvers too, but lavenders are just pretty, and i only have one of them. i thought i had only one purple, but apparently it's the other way around. O__/
ps, i've got skeletal pages for these guys all done and such. It's the actual coding i need to do. X.x

Edit- on second thought, let me get it over and done with. May I request thirteen more Danachians in addition to the three i asked for above, in any colour? And that's all I'm going to ask for this time around, barring one of each special. ^^ Thankyouthankyou and if you don't feel like handing htem over, don't feel like you need to.
