The Repopulation Sensation - batch 4 on hold

Batch 4 is on hold at the moment. I really haven't been feeling in an Enkeyn-ish mood lately, and I really really don't feel like going around pestering people for Potentials ^_^; Sorry to the one Potential that's been submitted so far - if you'd like to send them somewhere else, please feel free.

Now that I'm finally getting the Batch 3 adults draw, Batch 4 is now open for accepting Potentials!

No story-bit this time.. just some Enkeyn pairs who decided that their pups would benefit from being bonded ^_^ Some of the pups are going to be purebreds, and the others mutts, and none of them will be related to any of the Enkeyn already out there. Word has it there may even be one of the rare Enkeyn mages in this group.. Timeline-wise, this bonding is to occur a couple years after the Batch 3 pups are bonded.

I'm also hoping to start with my private ranking system this batch X3 As always, a story is optional, though having one will certainly snag you a big chunk of bonus points!

I haven't decided how many pups there are going to be this time round, but I'm leaning towards 4 or 5. They will have a unique pup and adult stage, as usual X3 Applications are due on January 14th - plenty of time to get a Potential written, I hope >_>;;

Rules!

- One potential bonder may be submitted per person.

- While bonders of non-human descent are acceptable - even encouraged - the bonder cannot be larger than an adult Enkeyn (~20'). What an insult it would be to the Enkeyn to bond it to some larger (read: more powerful) than they are!

- No Enkeyn potential bonders, please!

- Since Enkeyn do take a while to grow to adulthood (about 15 years) and live for quite some time (average lifespan is about 80 years), younger potential bonders would be preferred. Nobody knows what would happen to the Enkeyn if their bonded were to pass away first because of age, but it's likely not a pleasant experience...

- Stories = good good good! But detailed stats pages would be okay too. I suppose.

- The Enkeyn must be up on its own page. The bonder (if they were sponsored from somewhere else) and any pets may also be on the page, but an Enkeyn doesn't like to share its space with other large dragons..

- Two weeks seems a goodly amount of time to get the pups posted on their. Two weeks for the adults, too. After that.. well.. I imagine a bond-broken Enkeyn would be a very unhappy Enkeyn.

- When they are grown, the Enkeyn MAY be able to breed with other dragon species. Breeding requests will be addressed on a case-by-case basis

If I can think of anything else later I'll add it @_@ Haven't written up a rules list in a while.

Oh yeah, and you might also want to check out the Enkeyn general information that I finally got written up ^_^;

Wow I would love to try for this! How young is "young?" I have an 11 year old I'd like to try with, but is that *too* young? Obviously he's too young to try anywhere else

Sorry to post on top of myself (bad astra) but will there be future clutches of these? This candidate is turning out rather ... complicated so if I miss out on this clutch I'd love to try again another time.

Oh yeah, there's going to be another batch of these guys ^_^ The only thing I'm trying to decide at the moment is if the next batch is going to have pup images or not..

Reserves means I claim a spot (so that I don't miss out) and send you a candidate when I finish them...some people take them, some people don't...the advantage is people are less likely to complain about not having inspiration and missing out on a clutch because of it...the disadvantage is sometimes you end up waiting to hatch the clutch while a person works on their reserve...

I could probably send you a stat sheet right now...could I do that and work on the story later if/when I have time/inspiration?

Ah, okay. I kinda figured that's what it was - just wanted to make sure before I said yes or no.

I guess I'll allow reserves, though I'd like any story-type stuff to be done in the next couple of weeks, before the pups go out ^_^

Hee hee, I want one too ^__^ Though I don't know if shoulder-sitting would work, since it's the size of a large dog at the moment..

I added another rule that I'd forgotten - Enkeyn needs to be on its own page >_> No sharing pages with other dragons.

Besides being super-excited about the upcoming hatching (ya got my Potential application for Shou Xiao, right?), I've got a question :}

Are the Enkeyns going to be interbreedable to other draconic species? I ask because my own species, the Schattarneki, are fluffy-furry as well :}

Since, as stated in their species info, the Enkeyn are an.. adventurous bunch, likely they'll attempt breeding with a different species of dragons someday. I don't have the particulars down yet, and I'd like to get the Enkeyn breeding among themselves before branching out to other species!

But in all likelihood, the Enkeyn will be able to breed with other dragon species someday ^_^

Eh heh yeah.. I would like to close it earlier, but that wouldn't make it fair to those who hadn't gotten their Potentials in yet >_>;
