In search of something brainless to occupy my work-tired brain I tweaked the look of the site today--I have a new fondness for set-size tables that can fit on the minimum 800-by-600 resolution, so I went through the Destiny and adapted it to fit.

Images on pickup pages may look overly small from here on out, but worry not--I'm only resizing them with HTML. Saving them will still give you the full-size image.

Also, though neither me nor my fellow artists are anywhere near done with our workload, I'm officially declaring Biosynth 10 - the Asandae Clutch. You can read my little Prestory (which was written as of a while ago) for it, and see the chart of all the donors in use, here:
http://xenoqueen.deviant-uprising.com/A ... /index.htm

Also on the above page is a chart of all the dragons I accepted as donors--which was pretty much all but a few of the applicants. XD But no, I'm not telling just what the specific pairs are... I want to have SOME mystery involved. The pairs HAVE been determined, I'm just not sharing. :) Nevertheless, each used dragon earns its contributor a freebie from that dragon's sub-clutch--whatever it happens to be!

And so it's officially declared somewhere: last Monday I started working a 9-to-5 job for the very first time. I'm a pet bather/brusher for PETCO. The 8-hour workday now robs me of a chunk of time that once could be spent dragoning, while the very physical labor currently leaves me tired and rather brain-dead for the free time that's left to me. I enjoy the job very much, but working 9-to-5 is very new to me, especially in comparison to my old 12pm-to-3am noctural life. So... don't expect to see much out of the Destiny, outside of brainless things perhaps, until I've adapted to my new worklife. :)

It looks... so... smooshed o.o Way in the corner, with all that blank space in the bottom and right! XD Weirdness. Is it supposed to look like that?

Oo, story. With Callidei! Yay! :: hugs her :: Ketvia still visits her, you know XD

Is this supposed to take place after the kids from that synth (Ketvia and Chiya's, I mean) are gown up? >.> Or they still half-grown? Cuz that'll change who I can send.... Can't send that particular pair until their kids are out of the house, after all! XD

>.> How long are we going to have to write stories for this? Cause I've got one I want to use, but it's sitting on my laptop. My laptop is fixed, but not yet returned. You can see my dilemma.

Indeed it is. View it on 800-by-600, and it fills the screen. Anything larger gets it in a corner. Completely on purpose. The tables don't resize anymore. That's what I was after.
Is this supposed to take place after the kids from that synth (Ketvia and Chiya's, I mean) are gown up? >.> Or they still half-grown?
In my timeline, Callidei is only half-grown. Teenagerly. But I make no secret of the fact that I never expect other people's timelines to coincide with mine.
How long are we going to have to write stories for this?
I can't say. Whenever I establish a deadline, it's about 6 weeks from the date I announce it, but I'm nowhere near ready to declare such a deadline. I have a bunch of images still to draw, but my job leaves me too tired to even art--at least for now. There won't be any sort of deadline until I've adjusted to the energy/activity requirements of my new working life. :P
And thus beings my attempt to collect one of each.
Unfortunately, collecting one of each won't be possible. If I let everybody apply candidates/sponsors to every single sub-clutch, the end size of the clutch would be insane. ^^* Which is part of why I'm not detailing exactly what the sub-clutches are. You, Terry, will be able to get more than most since you contributed so many donors, admittedly, but no one will be able to "collect them all." Not even myself. ^^* There is a highlighted section added to the Rules page regarding this. Towards the bottom.

Yay!

Definately going to try for more than the one coming to me (though one of each? Erm, not that good) Summer is almost here--I only work two days next week. If they let me (injured back yesterday. Bleah.)

*giggles at a certain reaction* and glad you like her. Feel free to show her off, but---keep the Dalake away, ok? ^.^;;;;;;;

Edit: Ok, don't have to worry about writing too much.

Hrm. I'll... have to think on that. Normally, I'd bend the timelines however was necessary, but this is a kind of particular one, since Callidei is actually their daughter, and, you know, she's even in the story....

And dang XD I never use 800x600... I thought you used a huger resolution, too... oh well.

Aww man, that's disappointing, though I can understand you not wanting to give away that many dragons to that many people!

.....Still, if I were to make one of every kind.... *break out the evil cackling*

(No, I won't saddle you with that, that'd take days straight of just drawing and colouring, but still, the day-dream is there! XD)

Hey Phe, a random idea:

Why don't you have *one* extra hatchling per clutch that you can kind of raffle off the spot for? Rather, raffle off the spot for the candidate, no matter which clutch it is or who sends the candidate. So it would be POSSIBLE for someone to get in on more than just one of the clutches, but it wouldn't overload you, work-wise! :D

;___; I know how many of us love your art... I'm not trying to insist, but I just had the idea and wanted to share it XD

I never said it wasn't possible for people to get in on more than one sub-clutch. I said it's impossible to get in on ALL of them. Biiiig difference.

So can you choose *which* sub-clutch you want your character to apply for? I only ask because I'm collecting dragons for my new Weir recently and I know that the water and earth dragons (haven't memorized the avengaean names yet) are wingless and therefore couldn't fly with the rest of the fleets so I'm mostly working on flying dragons atm. Of course I think they're all lovely so it doesn't *really* matter ^_^ Musst get in on purebred aven goodies.

Nope. There's a whole new Synth-10-only section in the rules to answer that very question in more detail. http://xenoqueen.deviant-uprising.com/A ... /rules.htm

All right Phe that's totally understandable ^_^ Being able to choose which sub-clutch is boring anyway which is why I usually don't specify for frenzies and such. I am thinking about starting a ground-runner fleet at Pyrus Weir so that I can start adopting all the lovely wingless dragons anyway. Although sadly I may have to sit this one out because I, too, am starting my new job on Monday and unlike my old job I won't be able to just sit around and write candidates all day. But, it looks like you'll have plenty of participants even if I can't make it this time.

I'm still nowhere near ready to set a deadline... but have an early (and large!) preview letter, with four of the ten possible crossbreeds.

This Synth is a delightful collaboration between myself, Dray, JKat, and Cacopheny, at least in terms of arts. XD JKat's contributing full templates, and Dray and Caco are contributing lineart that I'm coloring. They all wanted in on the fun! :D

XD Hee hee hee, there's even an 'N' shape connect-the-dots between them! Earth-Light/Light-Fire/Fire-Earth/Earth-Air! X3333 *amused!*

I hope this one takes off. XD Though I'm still in a sulk that I can't nab one of each kind, since, for some reason, I can't get it through my head /why/. They're too pretty to leemeet! D:

Because my clutches, on average, have pulled in 15 to 20 candidates. Now, with ten clutches in one... if I let everybody go for one from each... that could very well mean 150 to 200 candidates for me to deal with and dragons to create.

No. Just no. I'm sorry the limit has you disappointed, but I have my sanity to think of. :(

Yeah, I understand that... >_>" <_<" I'm just wondering if I can slip Callidei some bucks to go towards whipping up similar genetic-code-stuff for after-clutch-style later! ;P *is a horrible briber* XDD
