FGPC Updates - Shimmer Frenzy Deadline

Well, the fire lizards for the FGPC are up...however...Yakima has to go back and redo the titles on the pages because she is a dork and a perfectionist (when she wants to be). I also forgot a few colors - stone or something like that. Can't remember which one...yeah...stone dosn't have a page yet. If you notice that an image or a page isn't working, please let me know...the Two-tone/speckles had about 90 images just to themselves so times that by two, add the other pages and images...lots of room for mistakes! Anyway...enjoy! Added shimmers, if anyone likes those guys...

:) Those're some nice firelizards, though, Yakima! ^_^ Quite the lovely variety! I'm tempted to grab some for future use, since they're so pretty!

Also, in your Variety incubator:

On the front page, it says 'Choose from anouther incubator!', though that should be 'another', I think.

Ok...thanks...some of those links you told me about are the ones I added at the end and didn't upload the actuall page because I realized I had to go back and redo the titles on them again. And thanks for the spelling corrections - I suck at spelling...worst thing is that is my birthstone! *facepalm* dur...*sigh*

Glad you like and yes! Shimmer Frenzy candidates! Once I wrap up the Wolf Frenzy that one will be reciving a deadline as well, probably well into the summer, though. And just because it's at the FGPC dosn't mean they're all Pernese dragons for those anti-Pern out there. Tavaryn-Spell Weaver cross and a Danachian to name a few...just look at the Frenzy Records! Of course, not all can or have to be shimmers. As this is done by the Genetic Hall errors could result and we could have a normal color for that breed hatch without being shimmered.

Shimmers are the goal, though...

I, myself, am trying to get my after impression stories done because I was reading what I had before and Segs started to get excited and bouncy and I want to finish them even if people may not read them.

I know I've read most if not all the stories of post-impression that people have gotten up because they are fun to read what happens to everyone! Heh...

Once the Shimmer Frenzy is gone, I'll run anouther Earth-Candidate Clutch though I do not know if it's going to be at the Weyr or the FGPC - probably the FGPC like a traditional type thing.

So this is a heads up. If you're name (or a character of yours' name is up on that list), it either means you do not have an adult image up (at the least), or the link came up broken.

The next clutch will probably be run like the last one with only the five traditional colors hatching. I obviously had some special colors in that one (like golden green and bronzed brown) when someone seemed to be more then one color. Of course, that was a very hard clutch being that it wasn't a made up person but a real person I had to give a dragon to! Including myself...that was the hardest...heh...though it works being stuck with a dragon like my Pern-self (Synde). Confusing at times, but funny, too. Still need to finish story from my perspective because Skies of Fire dosn't tell my side of the story - all the waiting and worry I do while Philippe goes out to get himself killed...men...*sigh*

I haven't opened the All-Earth Clutch II yet and haven't really been working on Shimmer Frenzy stuff. Kinda taking a break after the Wolf Frenzy. Need to do that...dur...Anyway, thanks for those that have responded!

However, I will start putting the All-Earth II together if you so wish. I am going to run it like last time - 3 clutches into one. No matter how big the clutches are so I would like at least one larger one. I kinda want Phalinth to be in this one but we'll see. However, like the last clutch, I'm only allowing Pernese dragons to participate. If you have a pair or a female that you would like to clutch for this, please use the form below. If you don't have a male and would like to chose from one of my dragons, you may put that dragon down as a requested mate. Unless you want me to run a 'real' frenzy with a story. Up to you. Only three, females, though. Might make that a tradition!

Anyway, take shower and either work on my story for the Pern-me or work on Shimmer Frenzy dragons...heh.

Out of curiosity, when is the deadline for the shimmer frenzy? I cant seem to find it listed anywhere and I have a candidate in mind for it... one thats actually GOOD this time, rather than my old planned shimmer candidate, who refused to be written

I'm not sure yet. I'll put a final date once I get all the images drawn, scanned, and turned into templates. Right now I have an obession with getting my me-rider story finished.

*grabs Philippe and hides him under her bed in the weyr*

Of course, writting my story also means revising Skies of Fire which is Philippe's full story. *sighs* Elves...

But as of right now there is no limit but I can guarentee it will be hatching this summer, around June-July-ish...

Out of curiosity, how does the all-earth clutch work? I had been under the impression that it was called 'all earth' because all of the dragons were natural tones (all of the greens were very earthy, the blues were sky and watery blue, etc.) But it seems as if you're referring to 'all-earth' meaning... characters from earth. Am I wrong in that that's going to be the theme for the second clutch(es), as well?

If so, do they have to be existing people (as in, say, Kat and I, since we really exist in real life) or could I create any old character, so long as they come from a non-alternate earth setting?

Sorry I'm confused, I just wasn't around for the first one, so I didn't get in on the instructions.

Oh...sorry Dray! Yeah, all the characters are from Earth. Most of the people that Impressed in the first one were people that acually exsisted; Shard, myself, Jess D., and others that were around at that time. For that one I started out only asking that you, as yourself, be sent in which is why I have my own dragon at Falas; I'm actually the one that started the Shimmer Frenzy, too. With the help of L'gal, of course! But I know Kesava sent in a fictional, earth character and for this second one the characters have to be from Earth and don't have to be anyone you know. Though, if you didn't get in on the first round as yourself, you're welcome to come in for the second. *shrug*

I'm trying to wrack my brain getting a new character - I think I may have blown my earthly wad on me, Nik and Drew.

See it's kinda funny but because Alabaster is filled with people from my novel Body Dancing - THOSE characters are almost entirely based on real life people *already* and they HAVE dragons...

I mean... Eric, Barb, Chuck, Jason, Ed, Melissa, etc etc etc... Those are all friends of mine. lol!

Okay, Yakima...so sorry this took me so long and that they're so pathetic, but I got Liz and Adam's dragons up. They're just stuck on the page for now and if I ever feel inspired enough to head back to Pern and write for it I'll add story later.

Thanks, Xalia. And don't worry, Shard. It will be a while before I get to this clutch as I have the Shimmer Frenzy to do. On the timeline, this clutch is going to be set in the next Turn in the 8th or 9th month anyway. And a heads up - Philippe isn't searching for it! OMG, I know...but he will be on Sentra about that time trying to get himself killed as he figures out who he is. He'll be back for the hatching since Phalinth has seven eggs in it from her first flight with Faroth.

You can post them here. I wouldn't mind if people sent me in a bunch and I choose from them or if dragons from the previous AEC participate. I will allowed brown sized dragons and up participate if they are from the first AEC clutch since I have Phalinth in it.

But you can send in anything as long as it's Pernese/Old World. And if they don't have a mate you can pick one of the dragons at Falas or the FGPC. If you pick one that already has a mate or dosn't have the right kind of personality to chase a female for a special clutch (because some of my guys won't), I'll ask you to change it or something. *shrug*

Hee, Yakima... what would those two be /like/, if they were searching Earth for the Shimmer-eggs? How would they blend in--or would they try? Where would they visit? XD That gave me an idea for candidates, if I'm allowed to write your Search Riders into the story (and hopefully trying to write for a character other then my own won't lead to awful results!)

Assuming you're speaking of Philippe and M'len, they are the only riders searching off world for candidates for the Shimmer Frenzy - for all of Falas and the FGPC's clutch, in fact. During the AEC there will be a group that will help out but for the Shimmer Frenzy it is fine to use M'len and Philippe if your candidate isn't on Pern.

As for Searching Earth for candidates they /try/ to blend in when they can but they're not the brightest for doing that. M'len has the brains, Philippe has the looks, both have charm, but for a good exsample you could read my Search story a there first Searching of Earth. Depending on the weather they wear there Pern riding jackets but they have some earth cloths that allow them to blend in (jeans, t-shirt, stuff like that). Both have backbacks that hides there helmets, gloves, any maps they pick up (though have trouble figuring out most of the time and get lost anyway), and there fire lizard sized dragons; both have collars that allow them to shrink there dragons to smaller sizes so they can hide on earth. They got them from Jaslyn of Rerir so they're magical collars. And yes, you can use them in the story. I'll try to get M'len's page up soon. I already have Philippe's and I think he has a personality blurp up. Though, elf-bly is likley to be looking a bit pale and tired because of what is happening to him - dreams and worrying about what happened in his past and who he is. But don't stress that part with him. Most of that stuff will escilate after the Shimmer Clutch Hatches...

I haven't offically come to a date though I know it's going to be around the 8th or 9th month of 3009 - it's currently set to hatch in the fourth month of that year, the Shimmer Frenzy, that is. Of course, the next few clutches are going to be thrown off as I'm going to hatch these and then go back in time, technically, but...

Like timelines really matter! Well, Falas' timeline matters to me but I want to hatch these two before moving to the next 'normal' clutches (speaking of which, anyone have a dragon, any breed, that wants to rise at the FGPC? I don't know what the rules say but any breed can rise now and choose if they want there eggs altered or not. *shrug* thought I should mention*)

Yeah, you can do that. I don't mind, the searched for one clutch and standing at the AEC.
