Yeah, I'll look at changing the font colour, Dray... Got a horribly huge number of pages to change, though...

I hadn't made any plans on what to do for re-adopting dragons - I've never had any abandoned before. But yeah, I'll prolly be allowing re-adoptions.

And given how popular the Rufasilex babies apparently were, maybe I'll run a second clutch of those at some point...?

Anyway, thanks for the links, all.

Either way--I'll probably be agreeing for sure if I can't get my hands on one of the abandonlings (I had the idea to use one of their aunts or uncles to pick them up, or Cemitae himself!).

You should switch to CSS files, Shiolar! That way you only have to edit one page when you want to change things like background colour/image, font and link colours, etc! They work wonders for a site!

I've got my story for the next clutch mostly finished, I just have to change the linkage to so that it leads to the next clutch, at the bottom of the page.

Apologies if it's a bit cheesy, I just wanted to play around with the time fractures that you've set up!

http://www.deviant-uprising.com/dray/bonds/kalin02.htm Here it is! XD Let me know when the forms are open again so that I can send her properly?

It looks great, Dray! Forms are technically open now; the form is still up on the Nests page of Mirus... I just haven't updated the rest of the page yet.

And... how do I use CSS? I know how to edit it to get forums looking the way I want them to, but incorporating it into a webpage is something else entirely.

Usually you have a seperate page from the rest, like this:

http://deviant-uprising.com/dray/bonds/bond.css

That's where you can edit the font colour and size, etc. (The .trans_box bits are for the transparent boxes I use on my pages. ^_^)

From there, you include a bit of text like this at the top of your HTML files:

<html>
<head><title>Shameless Falsetto</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="scd.css" type="text/css">
</head><body>

or

<html>
<head><title>Kalin Deri</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="bond.css" type="text/css">
</head>
<body bgcolor="#a59e9b" link="#f8f8f9" vlink="#e8b3bd" alink="#FFA812">

(The second allows you to change the colours of things from the individual page. ^_^)

And when you want to change something, you just go to the .css file and work there, and then the rest of the site changes to suit what you fixed, there.

I'll send in a form properly, then, just need a few moments to finish writing some story for Yakima's WolfKeep!

Cool, thanks for that Dray. Still gonna have to redo all the pages to CSS-ise them, but can't be helped. It'll be good in the long-run.

And thanks for the links IceCat, TyGryph. :)

Yep, those're adult images. I was gonna do hatchling images too, but never found the time to actually do them.

Little squiddly update:

Mirus is transferring to CSS, so the site looks rather different to what it used to. And all that's in there now is the nests. There's the form for Gen 01B, but no IC-ness just yet, coz I'm sleepy... Uhhh... there's also a list of the parentage of the next few clutches (Gens 01C, 01D, 02A). I'm thinking ahead.

Just a note:

3 days til dragons from Gen 01A are due up. I think most of them are up now anyway, but this is a general notice in case any aren't.

7 days til Gen 01B closes. So far I only have one application, and there's 8 eggs total. It's still gonna hatch on the 17th, or thereabouts... I'll just share the extras out amongst those who've sent applications.

I've got a sketch ready for Gen 01C, so I'll post that up once it's inked and scanned and so on and so forth.

And all the dragons on the list of near-abandonment have all been put up on their pages, I think.

I know I need to get my lemurs up, they're kind of a quantity thing lol. If I get behind, please remind me because I've been kinda busy at work and that's usually where I do my dragon stuff... bad bad me. :) Sometimes I forget whether I've got an image up, because I plan it at work and then forget it by the time I'm home to upload.

It's fine. You still have a couple days, and I'll give you a nodge at the deadline, if you haven't found time by then. But consider yourself granted an extension, if you need it.

Deadline for Gen01A dragons to be up is today, although officially it ends at midnight tonight, EST... So I'll check that tomorrow morning. As far as I can see, everybody but Taratahm-leidra (Sherra) is up already.

Adults for the lemur dragon clutch are also due up at the same time. But all of those appear to be up apart from Shard's, for which an extension has already been granted. So that's fine.

Finally, Gen01B will be closing on Monday, but there's still five spots available to anyone that wants one.

Okay, Gen 01B will be closing tonight at Midnight EST. Still only got two applications, so... Dray, Kitsuneko, would either of you like any extras? In case I still have extras left tomorrow, which I suspect I will...

And, the template for Gen 01C is done. Parents are Eyosha Deeabath and Talivri, and the offspring look like this:

Image

Reserved spots will be available for JKat and Indigo, and... I dunno how many others yet. I haven't formalised the clutch size, coz the number of applicants for 01B was kinda disappointing, so I don't want to colour loads of 01C just to have no one want them... but on the other hand, it is one of my better templates, I think... So whatcha think, how much interest is there?

I'm definitely interested. :D
And sure, I'll take all the kids you want to throw at me. :)
Darkling Dawn: Fauna Frenzy Open to candidates; flights open to males/females; rukel eggs/breedings available.
Drockh-Tallahn Castle: 3 eggs, 2 available. Females and males needed.
Sgiath Wolfkeep: 7 pups available
Sedona Weyr: 12 eggs, Deadline March 8. Chasers and a female needed.

Even a stat sheet is fine, Shard, so failing all else, toss anyone with the free time to look after a dragon...

Sure, if you want to give me extra, I wouldn't mind! >_>" I might have my character give them a couple of regular-years to grow up, though, if that's allowed. Would Kathamus mind picking her up once her first 'son' is all grown up and whichever second-clutch ones are about half-way? o.o" It would make things a lot easier for her! XD

I think that could be arranged, yes... Ultimately, with all the mess at Mirus, that could happen accidentally just as easily as Kathamus doing so because he was asked to... But yes, it can be arranged. :)

XD How could it be done accidentally? I like that idea better!

I'm just finishing up another two chapters that happen before 01B, I'll put up a link when I update them, if you care to read them. Once this clutch goes out, I'll try to write some more!

(That reminds me, do you have links to all of the first clutch offspring? I'm linking them from Veni's page, but I think I'm missing a couple!)

Weeeell... firstly, your character arrives for 01B when her 'son' from 01A is half-grown... who knows how far apart the two clutches actually are, but for all intents and purposes, Kathamus is treating them as happening at very similar times, maybe a couple days apart... but if the only place he can find your character is after her first sponsorling is half grown, then that's when she goes to 01B. That side's easy enough.

Theeeen... she attaches one baby from 01B, and leaves the hatching area, not knowing that she was meant to stay longer to attach some extras. She goes off for however long you like (a year, maybe?), and then comes back, intending to find her way to 01C, but gets tangled up in the end of 01B instead. Or do it the other way around, so she arrives first near the end of 01B, and then accidentally comes back at another point but arrives near the beginning. Then she's got to get away quickly before she meets herself arriving for the first time at the end of the clutch.

Or make it really confusing and have her arrive at various points during 01B, from slightly different points in time, so each of the young dragons she attaches is a different age. You could have a whole lot of fun with her trying to get to other clutches but constantly coming back to 01B. Or trying to get anywhere in the Fortress, but being ambushed by newly hatched dragons in 01B, because that happens to be the time she always walks by that particular nest. Course then she still has the problem of possibly meeting herself...

The lovely thing about these time fractures is you can twist the timeline into as many knots as you like, and I've already written that the things are very difficult to navigate through/between.

For the first clutch, I have links for all but one of them... half of them aren't linked from their original bonder/sponsor's page, but all the links I have are already on this thread... Or I can toss 'em your way, if you want...

And I look forward to reading more storybits from you...

Generation 01B is closed. The dragons have been coloured, named and assigned to their respective caretakers. Pickup page is at: http://shiolar.merseine.nu/mirus/archiv ... pickup.htm

The hatching story isn't ready yet, because I don't have the energy to write anything right now, but at least the images are up for you... I'll try get the hatching story up later on today or else early tomorrow...

In the meantime, Gen 01C is open for bonders, caretakers and so on. There's a total of 12 kits, and may be previewed at: http://shiolar.merseine.nu/mirus/archiv ... pickup.htm

These kits, being half Piralan, want to meet their potential caretakers first. I've put in very short personality blurbs, which you can use while interacting with the kits. I'll expand on them when they actually go out.

I'm taking 11 caretakers/bonders/whatever for this group, of which two spots are reserved for JKatkina and Indigo. All the rest are open to anyone. As before, stories and stat sheets are both welcome, but stories get priority over the stats sheets. Feel free to indicate in your story or on your form which of the kits you'd like, but there's no guarantees...

Deadline for applications is 3rd May 2006.

I'll be updating the Nests page later on, but until then, the form to fill in is:

Your name:
Your email:
Character's name:
Character's gender:
Character's species:
Character's URL:
Bonder or sponsor?:
Bonding preferences (colour, gender, etc):
Comments:

Shiolar, would you mind if I send in an already-bonded candidate? Because I have the perfect one in mind... but she's bonded already (Acquicath Rufasilex, actually, one of the Cemitae x Yantroth babies you did already)!
