Hey Dray? Are all the Gen 09 dragons just going to sponsors? >.> I was working on my candidate and saw that they all said Caretaker and wondered if any of them are likely to bond... Usually I collect unbonded dragons because they're more fun, but for this character's plotline I kinda need him to bond... >.>

Nope, none of these dragons will bond in the traditional sense. I'm sorry that I didn't make that clearer from the start! (Go figure with the luck of the dice, huh?)

However, if you really need your character to bond, I can make an exception. :3 There /are/ bonding genes in there somewhere, they're just pretty far back. ^^; I suppose it would be like... the pup (since they're all out and about right now) might just spontaneously latch on to someone they feel worthy? I'm not sure how that'd work. XD

3 spots left, and 8 days to submit!

I think that, if the clutch doesn't fill up completely by that time, I'll give a couple of days extension, and then if it's still not full, I'll just keep some of the extras and maybe start some new lines so that there's more then one gen going at once... either that, or I'll give a second dragonet to someone who has a /really/ good story... probably the former, though. X3

Hee, if you don't feel that you have enough time, you can always apply for one of the giveaways. X3 The only difference between them and the story-ones is that the story ones ought to be animated, or if they don't have that, then have the firey hair (since those take more effort to create!) Not to worry!

I've forgotten deadlines again. XD I was supposed to remind anyone who didn't have their GEN8 dragon up that they were going to be abandoned on March 1st, but since I'm slow, people get extended due-dates.

Samber, I need for you to have Amethyst Lepaisimet up within the next two days (or by March 6th!) or else I'm moving him to the abandoned's page. Please give me a link ASAP!

Starburst... I know is gone until the 13th. Somebody remind me to poke her when she gets back?

And... I need to page my guy, even though I have his stats all written out. 9_9' Best do that before GEN9 goes out so that people can make their pedigrees more accurate, if need be.

There are currently two spots left in GEN9, available to giveaways, stats pages, or stories! One of them was a reserve for Seraaches, but I haven't seen hide nor hair of her since a couple of weeks ago, so I don't know how to get the reserve to her. :\ So, any takers for those last two in the next 6 days? X3

I'm planning on breaking the BWR into three seperate lines with GEN10--GEN11 forward will run into mainly black, mainly red, and mainly white clutches, alternating dependant upon which 'strain' I feel like working on. That said, I have very few mainly white dragons! I know that Ty makes quite a few with the Flurry, so... once that comes out, I'm more then willing to gank a few, if people feel so inclined. ^_^ Or if you have any other pretty white-types, please feel free to send them in! (And reds, and blacks as well. XD Whatever goes, right?)

Laaastly, something to amuse everyone, since the board has been so dead today:

A bit of a different scheme this time: you get to see the babies now, and when the clutch goes out, you'll get to see babies and adults next to one another. (I'll expect both images to be up at the same time when their due-date rolls around!) These guys will have story-only specials--those are the two-tone dragons. The metallic or gem-tone dragons are the stats/stories only, and the rest are free to any kind of application. ^_^ I'll leave applications open until March 19, and please, feel free to write about meeting with the kits. I found it really helpful when assigning them to caretakers. (Alternately, you can suggest what kit you'd like in the 'comments' section of the application form!) I can't guarantee that you'll get what you want, obviously, but, hey, if I know what you want it's more likely that you'll get it then not. :3 For more information, please see the current clutch page (and pre-story, too. XD It turned out that some people with stories actually /wanted/ the non-glowy eyes, so some stats page-characters ended up getting them instead.

I'm glad you like, though; it makes me happy to see other people post happy things like that. X3

*dances* Yay!!! Savnorafeta is so pretty! I've even got story ideas spinning off of this...is it okay if I say Sav and Troe have a loose bond-type-thing? Not an /actual/ bond, but more a loose mental connection? Some of that buried bonding genetics coming through or something? Feel free to say no, because I /can/ work around it, but I'd love it muchly if they had some mental connection... >.>

Dray, I'm sorry to be a pain, but can I ask for a favor? XD I ab-o-so-lutely LOVE the dragon you gave me for my birthday, I love the template so dang much, but could I get stats for him/her by any chance? :3 I understand if he/she is "outside" the BWR giveaway because of the yellow coloration... XD but I am just so happy I got one dragon that looked like that since I missed out on applying for the "official" clutch! ...but I dunno what to call him/her and whatnot!

Question...I noticed in the story that all the Gen 09ers spoke in telepathy but telepathy isn't listed as an ability...when no form of speech is listed are we to assume telepathy? o.o

t.t' Yeah, people don't list how their dragons communicate much of the time, so I just make it a limited telepathy. There's a bit at the top of the pickup page, just under the descriptions of the abilities, that says if a specific mode of communication isn't listed, just fall back on limited telepathy.

And thanks for getting him up! ^_^ I'll have him linked sooner then later.

That's how I do things too - my rational is that once they are up on pages I can work on their stories without worrying about forgetting to upload them.
