Well, I was finnally told to come here. So, here I am anyway. I am just wanting to announce that Adieti Weyr is open and yada yada. SOOO! If you'd like to send Chasers, Rising dragons, or Candidates, just let me know!

I mentioned it on the yahoo group but I love your images, the multi-tailed thing is nifty. Do you accept offworld candidates or must candidates be from Pern? There aren't as many people who write Pernese chars anymore, but I'm sure you'll find enough to get a decent following. I generally only write chars from Cyrna, my own world, but if you'll accept them i'll send some your way (once I finish with all the other crazap i need to get done).

Is the dragon image based on something else? Because the head is familiar to me (but only just, it doesn't actually match any existing, only in theory). Glass wing? I know I've heard of it and probably seen one or two still floating around.

Looks remarkably like one of Jona's dragons. Has she given out the rights to that specific image, or given permission for it to be altered? I haven't seen her online in quite a while.

I believe the Glasswing dragons (which I never got any of either, more's the pity) were drawn by Jona, as were a handful of other creatures (the Egyptans...) and the Adieti dragons (we assume that Solarclaw on the sands page is an example of the ones that will be hatching) have the same look.

Aaaand I was going to look up some of Jona's critters, but I've just found the first page(s) that "Net Nanny" won't let me go to. (I'm at work!) So you all will have to look her up by yourselves. Sorry.

If someone needs Candidates really badly, I will be more than happy to send some weirdo Candidates in. I have to make them and all, but it wouldn't take but a day. I will be gone all day tommorow, but the next two days I have plenty of free time, so PLEASE ask me for a few. I get bored easily. Very easily.

I hate to say this... -cowers- But who is Jona? Yes Solarclaw is a version. And I didn't take any of her images at ALL. Never seen them either. But it won't be used after I get those images from my friend. She seriously needs to hurry up. Man, if she can draw up a anime character within an hour, heck, it wouldn't take her that long to draw up a dragon, I've watched her draw them...

I think that Shard meant that since your images are altered from those drawn by someone else, you should show where you got the images from and who altered them or gave permission for them to be altered.

But, you know, if you're having trouble getting images for your dragons, loads of people here would be more than happy to help you out. There're old templates that aren't in use, and others will draw you up whole new ones... All you have to do is ask...

Yes, if you're using images that the original creator did not specifically give TO YOU, you're just stealing them.

You *must* have images that are either made for you *by their original owner - not someone else* or made *by you*. I was worried that you might not understand why I was asking about the origin of these images.

Jona does give out images for use, I run the Egyptan site for her, with her permission. But only she can decide who uses HER images... See what I mean? Your friend, unless it's JONA herself, cannot give you images unless they made em already. Altering an image does not make it yours.

That said: we have DOZENS of sets of images that aren't in use right now.

Myself, I have like 4 that aren't out there at this time, plus one set that I haven't used in years but I have the rights to. ((You'll see a LOT of different images coming from my sites, because I hated to see people leaving those old dragon images stuck in limbo, and asked to use them.

I'm sure that if you give a list of what you'd like your images to look like, their features (such as 3 tails etc) we'd be able to come up with something just as nice, and you'd get to own it properly.

Mine look like- Two tailed, weird head, and funny wings. But I suck at drawing, so I'd love to look at those images! ^___^

Two horns(shaped sorta like a ram's horns)

That should work! You can add anything else you want to.

If you head off to the Database section and look at the stickies (I think it's there) with the links to our websites, cruise through the records room to get ideas about what we usually give away. Not everyone listed is active, and not all active sites are listed.

Go ahead and look around in the dragon type areas, but if you're squeamish or under 17 please don't go in the Naughty area...

They're not that bad but they're still a little iffy

Some of us run agencies with one or two images, hatchling/adult etc, in addition some also do giveaways (here for instance in the giveaways area) and do clutches with images based on the parents. Frenzies, flurries, festivals and other such dragon orgies get some really amazing images, that are usually one-time deals.

Most of the ones I have given out are single-time use images, but the agencies I run are all still giving out set images. (so, I have a set of draks, a number of dragons from each site, that I send to candidates who fill clutches like your weyr will, but I also give out specials.)

That's why places like this and my kshau protectorate group exist, to keep up on em.

I always try sending folks, especially to new weyrs. So expect one or two eventually from me.
