Sherra's Character/Dragon Database... Holy moly...

Just because I thought folks might be interested/amused... I'm gonna post the numbers that I just counted up for Cy!

XD I was rather bored... so counted characters. I can assume that I was off by a few on each stat, but... close enough!

And I may add more if I'm bored later and feel like counting more random stuffsh... But... here it is!

Crescents: 17 (and the max number of dragons is 17 per crescent!)

Total Character #: 213 (hooooooly crap.)
Total Dragon #: 244 (I have half a ton more I need to put up and link... but... O_O)
Characters at Cy: 200 (Cy has a nice fighting force!)
Characters Elsewhere: 13 (those bums! why don't they like Cy?)
Candidates: 25 (a goodly number, but must make it higher! >D)
Male Characters: 119 (lots of testosterone about Cy...)
Female Characters: 90 (lots of estrogen, too!)
Genderless Characters: 4 (one muffin, one pumice golem, and two beings of pure thought)

Hooooly moly, neh? I thought I had more like 100 characters out there... Whoa...

I dare anyone else to try this! >D

I also want to count number of different agencies I've gotten dragons from, and species... and worlds... and stuff! I think I'll do that now... >> Don't mind the compulsions...

XD Yeah... I knew you did. You've been around longer than I have and you write like the dickens. Has there ever been a clutch where you haven't gotten a dragon? ^^

Yeah actually quite a few. But I do make a point to try and get in the FIRST clutches of everyone I have seen. And I have a kind of half-broken tradition of sending Baeris' children (her first) to Falas for their 'final clutch'. I've got 3 from those so far... lol!!

I list everything like this:

etc. When I know the clutch number I tried to record it, but many just slipped by. I have I think the most from Ryslen - before the influx of freebies. Ryslen and Talor Cliff. Up until a while ago, I kept the weyrs color coded too but I totally had to give up on that, because too many of them died.

All I know is I have over 200 dragons (I keep an Excel database listing them) and that's only counting the ones I've actually paged. XD My folder of unpaged'eds has about thirty-forty more. A huge percentage of them are gifts, giveaways, and other minimum-effort-to-obtain crits, true, but still not a bad number at all for having been 2 years and 2 months (my first candidate was submitted at the end of October 2003) in the Nexus. XD

So you know, Ru got a dragon at Aneris quite a while back. She's already sent out the weyrlings. You might want to check your emails for that.

I think the count on that page is like... 63? I think!

I'm missing dragons from... Seascape at least two, two from... Sparkul, three from Isabitha. And who knows how more when my zenarta geocities account went down also. Many images I'll never recover!

But life goes on also I have been fadding in an out fo a couple years now do to RL issues soooo I'm almost scared to do a theoretical count if I'd still been around for those years I missed!

And compared to Cyrna, Mirus is seriously underpopulated...

My actual characters, for which I've written stories for and have thusfar bonded dragons, consists of:
8 males
3 females
1 Shiol Aonan

I also have one dragon with a stat page who bonded... Makes 13 total actual bonded pairs...

I probably have twice that again in stats page riders and their dragons, made up of Alabastor/Blackstone giveaway dragons and images I drew for the Breedables database and so on...

And I have 27 unbonded dragons, either sponsors or from giveaways.

And I have 3 Candidates completed.

So my entire population is roughly:
40ish bonded pairs
27 unbonded dragons
3 Candidates

Comes to a grand total of about 70 that are actually uploaded in some form or another...

I guess I'd better get over to Notepad and start writing more...

And generators. I love the generators, because I can so work up a new character with just a few brief ideas. And the dollmakers..... must have dollmakers...

I have no problem getting ideas... the issue is having so many ideas and not enough time to do them justice... Or I get a huge idea that takes forever to write...

I love writing the long and complicated stories, even though a lot of people don't seem to want to receive them... I should probably just write more random, half-plotless stories...

I agree, that's my same trouble -- I'm all about the long and complex stories, and the interactions between characters, and characters from previous stories showing up and playing a large part later on in other candidate stories ... but no one really CARES about my Cyrnan soap opera save for me, so it's really for my own entertainment. And with school and all, it's hard to do all of my ideas any sort of justice at all.

Oh, don't worry.

I've been working on several candidates that really need great dragons, but I don't wanna scrimp on the story in favor of picking up a giveaway or something with em.
