X3 Weren't some dino's warm-blooded, too? Then again, they're supposed to be predacessors to birds, whereas modern day reptiles are a supposed offshoot from earlier on the evolutioni tree...
XD Bah. Dragons shouldn't /have/ to fit in with one of the five-howevermany groups of animalia on earth. Most of them have never even /heard/ of earth, and who knows what kinds of creatures exist alongside them on their offworld planets? :P

I always thought of dragons in a more dinosaur sense...and though they can't really tell for a fact dinos were warm blooded, I do subscribe to that theory, and my Weopanian dragon species were all in the Archosauria order (or whichever group, that's the one above Dinosauria, and includes the crocodillians, but not the other reptiles) with that being taken out of the reptile group and made into it's own. Dang if I can't remember which palentologist thought that up first, but that's where I got that idea. Scales, Feathers, Fur--all shown in the fossil record on dinosaur and related creatures (fur was on the pterasaurs).
Well, to me that's where they'd fit best, with a little tweaking. Warm-blooded, definately.
Just tell me, howmany Nexiian dragon females give milk?

I'm pretty sure they do, the liveborn are cared for by groups or those capable.

Not that I think anyone has paid attention (there isn't much to go off) but Lvarians are intended to A) Give milk and B) Be live birth, but the origin of the species had to "transplant her children into self-substaining orbs (the blue-green things hanging around on the back of the sands). First generations carry the trait, but their offspring suffer in size and health because of it. Unless they get a "reset" (which story-wise is coming up) where they are reverted to the natural process of live birth (taking out the magikal outpourage that creates the eggs and leeches off the mother for the interim) not much will be seen.
