Nexus Night Before Christmas

Well, for those of you who remember the Yahoo group, you may or may not remember this little tradition of mine...

Humor me. :) I think I mostly do these cause they amuse me, but hey, it might amuse you too.

Nexus Night before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas and all cross the board,
Not a user was stirring; onight, no post-horde,
The give'ways were settled, all numbers were chose
And with fliers aplenty, all frenzies all close'd.

I in my jammies all silky and red
Was thinking of phoning one Dray before bed;
Nerdling that I am, I was on the computer
I, 'kima and Myrror on the chat were breeze-shooting.

One night on the board (so silent this night)
An idea in two sleepy minds had took flight!
No mythical Santa this year would come prowlin',
Instead the gift-givers would be merely human.

For you see this vast forum, this plethora of folks
Was filled to the brim with love, kindness and jokes
Each one of which deserving joys both large and small
And Christmas is time for such things, after all

So among all the others, beside the Winter Gather,
And Breedables giveaways, and Driolo chatter,
Modest compared to the great Flurry fling,
Two girls set up a small giveaway thing.

Taking numbers to distract from colors we asked,
Taking old dusty templates from clutches past,
Tweaking with care the dragons from the lineup
We made Christmas gifts for all who did sign up.

Metaphorically sneaking down the forum's chimney
We tiptoed about with this bagful of beauties,
To deposit them here, though not under a tree
Hopefully inspir'ng some mass-forum glee,

Okapi for Rachael! Fishiness for Gail!
Red-gold hathdra for Mystic, red-black-silver for Kayla!
A fire-red-black four-head for one kindly Phoenix,
And many shades of blue for a blue-loving DF.

Pree-baby for Aire', a Sil-clone for Sil,
Dime-template for Sunny, Aven for Indigo,
And though Skysong loved the metal-daemon there,
To give it to just her sadly wouldn't be quite fair,

So templates were colored, took us a while
But on this Christmas eve we just couldn't keep quiet,
So as a prize for reading this tedious poem,
You all get a dragon that you can take home.

And because I've run out of new words to say,
I'll leave you with these last few lines for today,
One: next year I promise to write something more fun!
Two: thank you all for making this year a good one,

Three: If you want stats, just shout out and I'll write some
Four: Everyone thank Dray for most of them!
And now, without further delay tonight,
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

I would adore some stats for my dragon, as I believe it is part-daemon of some new sort, so... yes, stat-info would be greatly appreciated!

But I think I shall name him/her/it ... Spatula. I have no idea why, other than the draggy said so. ^^;

^___^ I am absolutely thrilled that everyone likes their dragons so far! (and a few people even said they liked my poem. XDD) To be honest, peoples' reactions to this was one of the things I was looking forward to the most when I got up this morning. *cackles* Functional gifts (blender, anyone?) are exciting, but there's something about giving stuff away that just gets better and better as I get older. X33 I feel vaguely like an adult. 9.9

I'll get on those stats... tomorrow or the next day. XD Today is a day of enjoyment, I'm afraid~
