Okay, so getting this started again! I'm accepting females at this time and will also accept males for later use! Please do not send any evil dragons to this breeding project! I'm going to be very picky about who I accept so please don't be upset if your dragon doesn't get accepted, I'm looking for certain genetics but I don't want to limit myself, if something comes along that intrigues me it'll get included, if your dragon doesn't intrigue me they won't be included. Bonuses apply to dragons with fur, feathers, big ears, unusual abilities, or purple somewhere in their coloration, but are not limited to such!

So, since we lost all the info for the other board and I don't want that to happen again I have a page up on which I'll be recording information. If you submit a dragon and want to know if they're accepted you can check the link below.

Okay...I think I have the mother chosen...and I better end up with a female from this clutch 'cause there are some awesome males in there whose genetics I must have! *cackles and rubs hand together*

Will be working on images today and tomorrow depending on whether my inspiration strikes...don't you hate it when you really really /want/ to draw but the pencil just doesn't work when you pick it up? *sigh*

Eep sorry! I was trying to resurrect my old website URL when I realized I'd left you kind of in the lurch about them >_< I'm sorry ::feels dumb::

About the wing thing... Schattarneki do not have their wings until they're adults. They have little shoulder-spikes as cubs, and as they reach adulthood, the wings push out and the spikes become the top ridge of the wing :} I think, if for example they hybridized with a feather-winged breed, a whelp could have shoulder spikes that grew out into feathered wings with the top of the wing still being a spike, or if they hybridized with a four-winged breed a whelp could have four shoulder-spikes that would grow into four wings :}

It's a trait that all of them have, but I'd guess that it breeds true to hybrid offspring about 60% of the time. I've decided that their genetics will be fairly fluid so they can hybridize a lot :D

Their naming conventions are fairly simple... whelps are named with two or three-part names, hyphenated :} And they usually have guttural sounds or hard consonants in the names. So, things like Myk-klik-ten, Kerik-netk, things like that :}

Colors and coat patterns are wildly variable. They can be pretty much any color or pattern :} Shoulder/wing spikes are usually the same color as the belly plates.

Awesome! Can't wait to see these guys breed at an agency that'll have hatchling images...it'll be interesting to see how that spike breeds through! And I'm curious how it'll breed into my project too, though I won't be doing hatchling images... Yay! Interesting dragons!

His shape-shifting is very specific, and it's highly based of what daemons already do: steal energy. He just... steals bodies >.> Most of the time he has to give them back, but every now and then he's strong enough of will to displace the previous spirit, and then he gets to keep that form, and he'll remember how to shift into it later. I'm not entirely certain how much that'll transfer to offspring-- maybe a couple? ^^

Anyway.... Since Jkat hasn't negated him, and I've shown him to her, I'm assuming she's not complaining ^^
