A Yakima's Homepage: Revamped!

Most, if not all, have been to my 'homepage' (aka my first web site ever): it's the pickup account after all! Well, that has undergone a make over and is not the accesable link when you click the 'www' thing in my profile - it also has links to my sites (from Falas to Treval and Baskar and all them good links), as well as links to the databases where I keep my riders! So, if you ever get really lost (or lose a link to a pickup page), please visit thus said site! It's nothing too fancy but I did put mouseovers for the heck of it...enjoy...

(text should look like the images but that's only if you have the font on your computer - it dosn't matter though...)

*gasps* Preeeetty Yakima! ;_; I really need to work on my main page, but I absolutely no ideas what to do with it!

lol I agree - it's really gorgeous. The KP site has needed such a revamp for a long time... maybe you're gonna get us into gear.

Must work on shimmer candidates for you. Aaand whoever else there needs it.

Hey Yakima, if you'd accept a sentient mirror as a candidate then I might have someone for you. I have to get the mirror's master off to the synth batch. I want to get someone in but it takes me forever to write candidates and I already owe so many stories. ;_; I don't wanna give you something crappy either.

Mystic: Well, I really don't know what you persona is so I'll need to know. The Shimmer Frenzy is open and for the Shimmer Frenzy, you can send in a sponser for up to five dragons. I need at least 80 or something before I can begin to think of a hatching, though.

Dray: I actually got the idea from Tolkien Town but you're welcome to use it! If you want credit that's fine...I used only one preset shape for the entire thing - the transparent shinny button in PSP8! Treval and Baskar are the only ones not getting the shinny look but the layout is the same. And you can steal coding if you have to...don't mind...

O_o Transparent shiny button? How does that work? Is it similar to some photoshop filter tools, or is it something else?

The one I used it a preset tool in PSP:

I also used Terragen for the top except for Treval and Baskar. If you wnat to see previews of the others for ideas I can put them up...*shrugs*

Huh, so you can take that preset button and stretch it out, change the colours, and otherwise fiddle around with it to make pretty buttons? o_____o' *wants!*

That one is transparent so you can put a different color behind it or a picture and it looks shinny, yes. I had to fiddle with the layer properties to make it look nicer (I used Luminance (Legacy) for most of the layers with the shinny button). You can stretch it but it'll get disfigured so I ended up copying and pasting the middle to make it longer...^_~

Hey, could you make a gif of it, and post it here? :\ I dunnae have PSP, which sucks. Alternately, if you know of any sites that have similarly tweakeable graphics, I'd be happy to snatch them off of you! XD *getting all excited, even though she should be doing homework* XP

If i did you could lose the transparency part. Would a PNG work?

O.o! PNG might work! I was thinking that I'd make the button a 'multiply' layer, that way anything shown underneath would appear in it. I'm still a bit fuzzy with PNG's!

I gave in and uploaded my new homepage...*sighs and pokes money issues that's preventing her from getting her own account so that she can upload faster and have one account to deal with* Geocities is nice - except the stupid thing on the side you have to keep closing...grr.

Anyway, there you go. Hope you like. I also have new graphic sets though I don't know if people actually use them. *shrug* I had made them for my own characters but made layouts that match the place they are from instead. Makes sense and less of a hassle for me as well as saves space. Heh...
