Urk Croork is a charming creature, though he is demure in the face of being so different from most of the dragons at the Nidus. He's a natural brooder, his flames providing extra warmth for eggs without toasting them. Because of this and his natural tendency to be careful and kind to those around him, he's become known as a the wher-warmer. He's friends with the tiny community of wher-kind that live in the lower levels of the Nidus, and his soft, pastel-rainbow light has lent a cheerful air to the hatching chambers in that area. Urk Croork can sometimes be seen nipping back and forth between the wher-rook and the human village nearby; he likes to collect special bedding for eggs of any size, and when he arrives among the humans, he is usually subject to becoming the one-chicken petting zoo; parents of all stripes have eventually learned that he will fluff up in a sunny spot and keep yougsters from getting into trouble. Urk Croork may have influenced more than one Nidus brat to become a dragon-rider simply by dint of providing an accessible way to grow used to spectacularly different creatures.
