| Appearance: |
Tansy is a short girl with dusky skin and black, curly hair. She's got a couple of cybormods from her infancy, when she had surgery for a lung condition. That's grown with her and allowed her to perform stunning feats of endurance, though she has to balance it out with long rest periods. It means that while she has a runner's build, she's also often quite sickly looking.
Tansy wears simple homespun clothing and keeps her hair back in a kerchief wrap. She's got a sweet smile, but when she's in the zone, she can look quite intimidating! |
| Notes: |
Tansy is an over-achiever and a would-be dragonrider, just like her mammy. While she and her newborn brother were evacuated from Star City along with a great chunk of the residents of Nidus Descendi, she's been living planet-side for long enough that she may as well never have known another life. Because much of the way-of-life at Descendi is based around surveilling and patrolling the hydra and xeno-dragon infested depths of the mountains, she's no stranger to horror stories about what huge monsters can do.
She's determined to become a proud rider of a strong, sleek dragon who can manuever around any danger and send it packing. Tansy joined the ranks of novos as early as she possibly could, but, at four years into her tenure, she's skipped several possible clutches based on her exacting standards. In the meantime, she's gotten extremely good at running notes from up in the Nidus down to the village below the mountainside, doing chores for the common kitchens, eavesdropping to heck and back on riders' intel about the world at large.
It isn't actually Tansy's preference to go to Dawn Watch, but her mother has taken her on the pretext of bringing her to the Weyr to gather useful intelligence, but in truth she's hoping to get Tansy to a hatching because the girl's second-guessed herself out of actually bonding, as though no dragon could actually meet her expectations.
Tansy is young, extremely hard-workiing, and has a blind-spot about a mile wide about her own perfectionism. Standing at Dawn Watch at least gets her out of her home and on her toes with other novos, strangers she hasn't met before. Her mother's seen her break her own kayfabe sheerly by dint of being surprised out of her own head now and again. While it isn't Tansy's opinion, her mother believes she'll find a better bond for having her guard down long enough to reveal her authentic self.
