Appearance: |
In her older age, Rawadwan has settled comfortably into a rounder, matronly shape that does not harm her warmth or eerie beauty. She has weathered, sun-browned skin and pale silver hair, bright blue eyes and a wide smile. She wears wintery clothing that is loose and easy to shrug off when she wants to return to her seal form.
Rawadwan can transform into a seal-like creature. Larger than any natural seal, and in hues of silver freckled with black, she has ice-blue eyes and a knowing smile. When she spends longer periods of time in icy water in this form, she gains fainter spots of white to chase her fur's black freckles. Rawadwan's seal-form is only possible when she's wearing her seal skin, which she keeps locked away safely when not in use.

Personality: |
Rawadwan has always managed to get back on her feet when life gets her down, and the same has been true for many years after she bonded her best friend, Rycansy. Prior to bonding, she had a rough life escaping a nearly catastrophic marriage that would have had her trade away her freedom and her selkie skin to a human. She fled with help from her own grandmother through a black sea portal into a land she could barely fathom, in the reservoir of a space station far, far from home.
Rawadwan scraped by on Star City for a few months before being taken in by a few sympathizers who helped her get on her feet. Learning to fit into a new culture amongst many alien people was strange, but Rawadwan's child-like grace and friendly naivety helped to bridge the gap, and ultimately her friendliness is what netted her a chance to bond Rycansy.
Rycansy was rather quicker to pick up on the goings on, and so the pair helped one another grow and acclimatize and, ultimately, fit in on the space station. Rawadwan had a number of dalliances during this phase in her life, and even a couple of children... but she promised herself never to get tied down, and so she never has again.
A couple of decades later, she found herself once again fleeing for her life, though this time it wasn't just her in trouble: Star City was under siege (or sick, as Rawadwan liked to think of it) with a parasitic infestation of xenomorphs and xenodragons that had been unleashed to destroy the station. Rawadwan and Rycansy fled with many of their friends to Nidus Descendi, where they were once again forced to settle and learn new mores of getting along.
A little over a decade after that, they are once again more or less settled... though Rawadwan fears the nearby Arx, which occasionally sends raiding parties or else slinking, fearsome monsters the Nidus' way. She is still a little naive, and is friendly and giving, but now she spends much of her time near the towering falls at the base of the Nidus, helping care for foster children from other riders while she tells tales of years long ago. |
