Ognesa harbours a deep resentment for space pirates; what little she knows about her missing family comes from the fact that she is certain her escape shuttle was intercepted for slaves. She was small enough that she hid in an under-seat compartment, and was later found by others whose own shuttle was damaged before their course was set for a new world.

Ognesa was raised by a few different people, and she is well enough adjusted, but she has a tough time making true and honest friends for fear of having them stolen, too.
