Aristar is a tall, athletic man with bronzed skin and long, pale hair. He's quite attractive in a traditional cis-macho sort of way, and dresses to suit his build and his active life. He has chiseled facial features and golden-hazel eyes, and dresses in riding leathers dyed from stormy greens, blues and greys. As he's settled in to Nidus Descendi, he's begun to adopt a wider range of clothing-- which is a hobby for him, alongside his other team sports and hunting maneuvers-- and he's mellowed out, some, but he still holds some of his more youthful proclivities to chase popularity over treasuring what he already has.

Personality: |
Aristar is commitment-phobic and always has been. He's self-centered, and he knows it, and he sees it as a flaw that he hasn't found a way to work around other than to take baby steps. In twenty years, he's learned to play wingball with other dragonriders, and has managed to make a few friends... but he is flighty one day, and charismatic the next, and he has a hard time telling when either mood will strike.
If asked twenty years ago if Aristar would settle down in a traditional, cliff-face Nidus, he would have scoffed. He liked to leave people by the wayside when things got too much for him, and the idea of (essentially!) enlisting into a paramiltary operation to fight Thread boggled him. When he bonded Jith, he bailed from Weyr Eriol as soon as he was possibly able to, and the pair made their way to Star City... however, this was too much in the other direction: the freedom and dangers of living on a space station with a recently graduated Weyrling dragon wound up putting him into a bad place for a while.
In the end, his move to Nidus Descendi was precipitated for him. Star City was ransacked, and he and Jith escaped with hundreds of others, eventually settling down at Descendi based on the fact that it had accomodations for one of Jith's great size. Over the years, he's acclimitized; Descendi is neither fully military the way Eriol was, nor is it free and chaotic as Star City was. He's happier, though he's made mistakes here that are hard to escape, and is still struggling to figure out how to live without anxiety.
