Regardless, Izhy has been growing up happily enough in the small village at the base of the Nidus, near the thundering waterfall that many remember Nidus Descendi for. As a middle child, she had to fight for recognition a lot of the time, but she eventually found her niche and she takes pride in making that social circle with her friends a good place to be... so long as everyone more or less keeps in line. Her odd telepathic ability allows her to do this more subtly, though she feels a little bad for using it.

Izhy is a bit of a dragon, herself, and has been teased about it by her older sibs: her room is absolutely bedecked with crafts and prizes, trinkets and things that people have given to her to show their friendship with her. She also keeps an almost religiously updated pile of books and scrolls and even infochips loaned from the Archives to read about... just about everything. The Nidus' learning system operates almost entirely upon an apprenticeship system, and Izhy has begun working amongst the dragonriders to help them with their tack and handling of dragon needs, but it's not enough to keep her hungry mind occupied. In her spare time, she likes to share facts and puzzles and problems with her friends, and she shows her mark of approval on those who have knowledge and trivia to share right back.

Secretly, her parents are quite proud of her for her quick thinking and ability to fit in. Izhy rarely feels their approval directly (perhaps why she seeks it so vehemently from others) but they try hard to keep her from feeling like she's slipped entirely off their radar as they work to repay their debts from the safety of their new home.
