Appearance: |
Susan is a child of a Charm demigod, but rather than inheriting all of the positive of that portfolio, she seems to have come into only the intimidation and fear that that magic brings. It affects her appearance quite drastically: she is naturally quite tall (about 6') and quite thin (~110lbs) but her body is subtly stretched and looming with her attendant magic, her angles more accute, her frame more jagged.
When she was a youth, she shaved her green hair down to her pale skin. Now she keeps it in a rough, shaggy pixie cut. Her eyes, naturally warm, have been cybornetically enhanced to glow an eerie orange. While she lived on Star City she had any number of tattoos and metallic filigrees embedded in her skin in the form of snakes and rats and daggers and skulls. A few of them still hold their old holographic sheen, though most of them have worn and weathered. One body modification she regrets, but can't undo without Star City's enhanced technology, are the sharp, metallic nails attached to her fingers and toes.
Susan wears dark clothing with splashes of neon green whenever she can get access to them. She's not as punk as she used to be, but some styles die hard. Whenever offworlders arrive to the Nidus, she spends some time haggling for clothing that isn't made of leather, or knitted from sheep's wool. |
Personality: |
Susan is the genetic twin of her sister, Marie. She and her twin were polar opposites of one another in youth, and even now they're fairly disaparate. Susan is a pessimist who believes that the world sucks, and will always find new ways to suck worse. This was proven absolutely true when she was visiting home at the same time as Star City was ravaged by an explosion of xenomorphs, and she and her bond were hurried into a shuttle and carted with other refugees to the safety of Nidus Descendi.
It took her a while to cope. In the end, Susan stayed. She connected with her sister, with whom has only ever had a mild alliance. When they found out that their parents weren't on any of the evacuee rosters, it took them both time to grieve. She's always been a wanderer at heart, mostly because she builds up opinions about a place that wind up making it impossible to stick around. She still does leave Nidus Descendi on a regular enough rotation that she's not much use to those defending the place against anything that might come from the neighbouring Arx... but since Marie lives here, Susan calls it a home base. |
